Restaurant Pupusa Al Paso — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

My wife and I have been to this restaurant last week-end where the place is somewhat rented to Ecuadorian people making food in this premise. Least to say the experience was awful in many ways. first of all it took one hour and 15 min just to get white rice, 4 bits of fried plantain and a soup. I need to precise that only one meal was ordered.i also need to precise that apart from us only one gentleman was waiting to be served so the place was not busy at all.

My next complaint is that when going to the bathroom I saw through the curtain that separates the hallway from the kitchen that the man who was cooking was putting the same wood spoon that he was cooking with in his mouth, it repulsed me, the place is not professional at at best its some random people that cook to make some money in a place that doesn't look inviting. nor clean.

And my next point leads to my wife have a case of gastro which I cannot be certain but highly suspect came from that place.

I cannot judge of this restaurant when it is occupied by its rightful personnel but the amateurs they rent it to during the week-end are not worthy of having any of the few Ecuadorians in the zone pay...

Went there on a Saturday for lunch (takeout) and it was excellent!! I got 3 types of pupusas: porc and cheese, porc bean and cheese and the last one was loroco, wich came with some sauce and cole slaw. I also got some yucca frita(fried manioc). First of all, I have to say that the yucca was off the hook, I mean.. it was soft and tender on the inside, crispy on the outside and well seasoned, it came with some green salsa. The cole slaw was fresh, crispy, tasty and the acidity level was just right wich is a perfect match for the pupusa and the sauce. Btw, there is a very nice selection of pupusa and I couldn't try them all(I wish I could) but the ones that I got were freshly made(I could hear them preparing it while I was waiting) and by the time I got home to eat, everything was still very hot. This is definitely a must try place if you like pupusa or if you want to try some delicious...

Francais: Cela fait maintenant 2 fois de suite que je commande des pupusas et je ne reçois pas du tout ce que j'ai demandé. Cette fois-ci (17 septembre) j'avais commandé 4x fromage + 4x fromage-épinard. J'ai reçu 8 poulet, plutôt secs. Ce qui est le plus frustrant, c'est que je suis végétarienne. Ce qui signifie que mes 30$ partent en fumée, en plus de venir de l'ouest de l'île pour ramasser la commande. Comme c'est pour emporter et qu'on ne peut pas savoir la saveur AVANT de le découper, on réalise l'erreur à la maison et nous sommes trop loin pour retourner. Vraiment dommage, car c'était mon endroit pour les pupusas, et je ne crois pas y retourner..😞 J'irai chez Cabanas sur Bélanger à Mtl. Point positif: l'horchata est toujours délicieuse!

Español: Pedí pupusas dos veces seguidas y no me dieron para nada lo que pedí. Esta vez pedí 4x de queso + 4x de queso-espinacas. He recibido 8 pollos, bastante secos. Lo más frustrante es que he venido desde la Isla Oeste a recoger mi pedido. Además, soy vegetariano.
