This place almost landed me in the hospital. There was pieces is STYROFOAM in the ice cream, I had to pull literal styrofoam out of my mouth, it was so DISGUSTING. When we told the server he literally grabbed it out of my hand and threw it on the floor! EWWW!!! He proceeds to walk away and keep serving food to other tablesā¦. With the same hand that touched a piece of styrofoam that was covered in my saliva. He did NOT WASH HIS HAND. I TOLD HIM IT WAS IN MY MOUTH HE JUST WIPPED HIS FINGER ON HIS SHIRT. This is unbelievable and SOOOOO UNSANITARY. He did not want to speak to us at all about it, he just walked away and ignored us. he did NOT offer an apology or anything. He said itās the ice cream manufacturers fault and started yelling at me. The manager came out and looked at me like I was crazy. i told him what happened and he shrugged and said so what? Said heāll give us a small discount. I told him absolutely not, I feel ill and this could make me very sick and I could be throwing up all night. He told us to leave and that he didnāt want us at his restaurant. I canāt believe how mad the server and manager was at ME when I WAS THE VICTIM. You know whatās crazy, I had a really bad experience here in 2021 and I havenāt gone since, I thought maybe things changed here, Iāll give them another shot. Clearly I was very very mistaken as things only got worse. I noticed this restaurant was also filthy smelt gross. Honestly please avoid this place if your trying to have a peaceful delicious meal because the food was so mid, so much rice on the sushi u canāt even fit it in your mouth, trying to fill you up on rice. Service was TERRIBLE!!!! Atmosphere was GREASY. I was spoken to and treated like a DOG. BATHROOMS ARE VILE. The chef doesnāt even speak English, when I went up and asked for the manager he just looked at me and laughed. What kinda of business is this? This past experience with Mikado was unheard of. My friends and I decided to give this sushi place one last try and I regret every minute of it. We ordered our food, did not receive simple items like chicken balls for a good hour and 20 minutes and did not even receive three of our items until complaining. Their response to this inconvenience is "It must be a computer error" not likely since every time we go we have to ask for the food they neglect to bring us. We also asked for forks, did not get them until we physically had to get up and get our own, this also happened with our drinks. To get a simple refill I had to bring my drink to the counter for her to consider refilling it. I am a strong believer in a tip should be earned and not mandatory, since the previous time my friends and I did not tip because they refused to get us the remainder of the food we ordered and the service was terrible our bills were higher than normal. When we went up to pay our bills were $4 over the amount supposed to be charged. When we brought it to their attention that the man before us paid $28 for his meal and we are being charged $32 his answer was "you will not tip me and I deserve a tip". This is the most unprofessional thing I have ever heard of in my life. How dare him alter the pricing from person to person, if you are going to charge gratuity on the bill it must be consistent and not just certain people. This is an action that is completely illegal and should not be allowed, when we brought it to his attention he just raised his voice at us more and more. They have a $3 off coupon for take out orders that did not have an expiry date on it. And when I showed this to them when I picked up my order, she told me that the offer has expired, and she would not honour it. So aside from the false advertising, I brought the food home, took two bites, and brought it right back. The pad Thai was dry and flavorless, and the sushi was bland, even with sauces on both. When I brought the food back, I explained to her that it was bland and I just wanted my money back. She looked through the order, and told me she couldn't give me my money back. She asked me if I had ever eaten sushi before, and I told her that I had many many times, and I've had way better sushi than this. She then said that it wasn't her fault if I didn't like it and she wouldn't give me my money. So i continued to tell her that I wouldn't be leaving until I got my money back, and this is terrible customer service. She continued to argue with me and tell me that she has never gotten a negative review and if I ordered something I didn't like I shouldn't get my money back for it.
