NO STARS!!! But forced to give 1! North China Buffet was Belleville’s best restaurant, at one time before Covid! (Last week- Dec 2022) before closing, we paid the bill and went to the restrooms - the floors were wet and I feared slipping and falling! These restrooms were dark to begin with! We came out and waited for some time for the son to come out. We were getting concerned, he was gone a long time, I finally asked if he came out sooner. The owner quickly went to turn on a switch. Moments later he came out livid saying he was sitting in darkness and no one bothered to come in to check if anyone was in the restrooms. A terrible experience. An empty apology was made. Is that how you treat your customers? What if we slipped and fell on the wet floors! Liability. Accountability. The owner and staff should know if customers are still in the building. Disgusted. 😱😖😡 (Edited today Feb. 20, 2023) PS Status changed from 1 star to no stars! Completely unsatisfied! 🤮 We came to give this establishment a chance to restore their honour with us and therefore, decided to give them a try again. The food was terrible, no wait it was horrible! It was cold as if the heated lamps in the place weren’t keeping the food warm. The selection didn’t look appetizing at all! The food looked like garbage:watery scrambled eggs, tons of uncooked well bacon! Where’s the Chinese food??? I wish I could praise this place, unfortunately the party of three were very unhappy with the food and the manager being incredibly rude, defensive, insulting, saying that she can’t satisfy all her customers! If that’s the case, then she is working in the wrong field! This place needs a caring manager that improves quality! She is the problem that doesn’t listen, insults her customers and continues to think that an empty apology will suffice! She asked what she could do but refused to listen to valuable customers which keep from her restaurant from closing down! When a customer is dissatisfied, the establishment should do everything they can to appease the customers and satisfy them. She was and continues to be in the wrong! If she continues with the mean terrible attitude towards her customers, she won’t have any left and could look for a job! One thing excellent was the wonderful waitresses that were awesome, hardworking and awesome! The washrooms are extremely cold! There is no running hot water only cold water to wash hands! ??? Wow! I don’t know how residents in Belleville are satisfied with the poor quality, unappetizing food! She doesn’t care at all. The food was much worse than it ever was before! The meal wasn’t good enough for livestock to consume! Get a new chef that can bring new innovative dishes to a mundane small buffet! Awful! You spend more time throwing out the bad fatty food in the napkin than enjoying the meal! Even the waitress mentioned that I hardly ate! Food was tasteless, fatty, not appetizing! The roasted potatoes were stale! The fries were cold. This buffet is overpriced compared to what you are getting! There were hardly any customers, five tables served compared to its spacious interior! The manager doesn’t want to listen to customer’s opinion. The customer is always right! She continued to interrupt with really hearing to any sound suggestions we made! This was the worse experience yet! I’ve eaten in many Chinese buffet restaurants to provide a valid perspective and critique! We’re done with this place until improvements I strongly recommended are made! There could be other restaurants the customer can enjoy! This place should not be considered to spend money nor eat there! Most definitely a failing grade for her!
