We've just come back from Pacific Belle. I'm not happy as my sister is gluten intolerant which means she gets sick eating foods with gluten. She asked if she could get the halibut dinner without any batter. A reasonable request i think and I'm 60 yrs old. Well they said yes and we waited, her order came with a piece of halibut that was smaller then my fried halibut. Now I've been cooking since I've been 14 yrs old so I could eat like the rich. I could see that the halibut was over fried and on the dry side. O.K, O.K. the cook could just be having a bad day but why? would you up charge an item that has less of a product and less care involved. This is not what I call a good practise in the restranunt business. I'm sorry if anyone has looked at my first review and have had a bad experience. We will not be returning to pacific belle in the future!

This is a good place to go if you're looking to impress some one. Service is very good as well as the food. My sister and my self ordered the Halibut fish and chips at $22.00 and It was all I could do to finish (almost finish...had to leave three bites) and most of the chips. We had order the calamari at $19.00 which was great(lightly battered and well seasoned) with a dill aioli sauce which was very good. Portion size I could have eating it as a meal. My other sister order the Caesar Salad with shrimp at $25.00 . She could only eat half the salad as it was huge. We got a kids pasta which it would have been huge for me to eat. My nphw will have lunch for the next day. I would suggest Pacific Belle to anyone and everyone if not just for the experience! P.S. you have to try their garlic bread it is as good as eating garlic bread for years gone by. Like the...

We’ve driven by Pacific Belle a thousand times and finally decided to try it out after our neighbours gave it a great review.

I’ll start my review with the important stuff: the food. We ordered both soups to start, the French onion and the smoked perch chowder. The broths were so flavourful and I appreciate the use of fresh herbs and ingredients. The portions were big which properly reflects the price of the soup. (I would love to see a smaller option become available).

For our mains, we ordered the 2 piece halibut fish and chips, the bang bang shrimp and the Oscar fries (their version of a seafood poutine). The food served was elevated without being pretentious. And everything was delicious! All the portions were generous and we ended up taking some home. So sadly, we had no room for dessert.

If you care about the other stuff at a restaurant, keep reading. The inside of the restaurant is on the smaller side (seats under 50ppl). There was light jazz playing throughout our meal to help create a romantic ambiance. The nautical theme is modern and tasteful done with dark green walls, gold accents, natural woods and leathers. The many nautical themed pictures on the wall added a lot of character. Good quality dinnerware and cutlery were selected for this restaurant. And the chairs were extremely comfortable!

Moe was polite and professional while he waited on us. He didn’t make us feel rushed and honestly answered any questions we had about the menu.

We will 100% be coming back for a bowl of soup on a cold winter night. I also look forward to trying other items on the menu at...

We’ve gone here a few times since they’ve opened and every time it’s phenomenal. We keep making the mistake of ordering small plate menu items before the entrees and end up stuffed to the gills!

This time we had the Mussels and Crab Rangoon to start, followed by the Wheatley skink chowder and Shrimp Po-boy for our mains. We were going to share but after getting halfway through we decided to pass out instead.

The mussels were great, very flavourful and the meat on them was quite large! The crab Rangoon was great as well, very full and creamy. We probably should have stopped here because our pants were getting tight but the natural stupidity of man had us chugging forward.

The Wheatley skink chowder was amazing. It had a Smokey flavour to it almost like bacon and the perch texture was perfect. We shared the shrimp Po-boy but we had to eat most of the shrimp off the sandwhich before raising it to our faces, there was just so much shrimp on it. It was surprising.

We ended up having to take half of everything home because we couldn’t eat anymore, and our kids were thankful. They give the food a 5 as well so this is really a 10.

Service is always top notch and the atmosphere is a strange classy, jazzy, fishermen’s shack kind of jam but we totally dig it.

Definitely will be coming back it’s so nice to have a seafood specialist in the neighbourhood that uses locally sourced food at...

I went as a group with my family. It was around 45 min before anyone got food of any kind despite us being one of the only people in the place. When we received our food, my brother's order was completely wrong, my own meal expectations weren't satisfied, and our food order was split incorrectly. It had taken so long for us to get our food that we did not bother causing a scene since the server's seemed to be rather unavailable. Overall I liked the building itself, the atmosphere and decor was really charming. But that didn't carry the restaurant as a whole very far in my opinion. Overpriced, and while the food wasn't bad it wasn't by any food standards very good. I would likely only come here again if someone else was paying. Otherwise, not likely to be my choice in restaurant.

Restaurant was recommended by several people so we decided to give it a try. It's a small establishment. Not too many tables, but very cozy. Decor is very classic, a bit dark. We started with mussels as is our usual, I liked that they brought out a lot of bread to dip in the sauce which most restaurants don't provide. I had the sea bass which was amazing, came with rice and corn. Portion was a bit smaller but sufficient for sure. My wife got the Pappardelle pasta with shrimp, also very good. One of the kids chose the 2 piece cod fish & chips, it comes with coleslaw and fries, that ended up being too much, one piece would have been sufficient. The other got the house burger which was ok. Price was very appropriate. Definitely will be coming back.
