Punjabi Rasoi in London, Ontario is a welcoming spot for those who enjoy authentic vegetarian Punjabi cuisine in a calm and comfortable setting. Located in the Highbury Shopping Plaza, the restaurant is easy to find and offers plenty of free parking, including accessible spaces, which makes visiting convenient for families and groups alike. The interior is simple yet spacious, with a seating layout large enough to accommodate solo diners as well as gatherings, ensuring no one feels cramped. The menu is entirely vegetarian, offering a wide range of traditional Punjabi dishes prepared with care and rich flavors. Guests can enjoy hearty mains such as chole bhature, paneer kulcha, chana masala, and aloo paratha, alongside lighter but equally tasty snacks like samosas, chaat, and dahi bhalla. The variety of breads, including butter naan and Amritsari kulcha, pairs perfectly with the aromatic curries, while classic Indian sweets like jalebi and gulab jamun provide the ideal finishing touch. Many visitors find the food comforting and authentic, with portions that are both satisfying and affordable. The atmosphere remains calm and casual, making it a pleasant place to sit down for a relaxed meal without the rush often found in busier spots. While some reviews mention the occasional inconsistency, most guests praise the authentic taste, the freshly made breads, and the fact that even non-vegetarians leave impressed with the flavors. Overall, Punjabi Rasoi has become a reliable choice in London for those seeking tasty vegetarian meals, a peaceful dining experience, ample parking, and enough space to enjoy a good meal with family and friends.

GREAT FOOD, RUDE SERVICE. TERRIBLE STAFF The place has great food , especially Punjabi cuisine. I usually go back time and again only for the food . Their thali is sumptuous and enough to have a setiating meal. Their chaats , especially samosa with chana is very tasty. One disappointment with food is their dahi Bhalla. It doesn't have that authentic Delhi /Punjabi taste. Don't order it, just a caution. But I gave only 3/5 because their service is extremely rude. The people who take orders are always absent minded. Once we ordered only one thaali, the lady at the counter noted it as two and charged is for both, when we said we ordered only one they didn't want to cancel it. The didn't even apologise. Extremely rude staff. I went the second time anyway just for food. But TERRIBLY disappointed with their staff.

Had a little good news, thought should celebrate with traditional Indian sweet dish style. They have Variety in Huge Variety in sweet dish too, mostly just have in the main course menu. This place is neat, clean and very well organized. Called in the store before visiting and the person who picked up was respectful and polite. Took two mints to explain the menu and I appreciate that. Someone recommended me this place. I got Rasgulla's.. Laddu's and Jalebi's. It's was good. Rasgulla's didn't seemed freshly made...they seemed and tasted like two days old...but 😕.. Jalbi was amazing....crispy. Not too sweet.. The packing is too good, safe and secure. I'll go with 4/5.

Never eat at this place, they cheat people of their money. I came here to have Authentic Indian Veg Thali. Instead I was given a thali where the potato curry was just water and nothing else. When the front desk was approached they denied any help and asked me to pay and order a new one. I just wanted the potato curry to be replaced with another one so that I could finish my food at-least. They don’t give a damn about their customers, all they need is money. Would not recommend anyone to this place. Standards have been declining day by day.

Update to the Owners Comment: Seriously? Such a pathetic owner you are. My behaviour was extremely respectful and you were not present at the time this happened and your staff said you a made up story. And moreover it wasn’t me who spoke to your front desk it were the girls along with me who approached your front desk and had a word with your team. This clearly defines the cheap story and tactics you used to cover up your bad customer service. Get some life and come up with a better story next time. I also did not leave half buffets anywhere, I know my etiquettes, which you clearly don’t know. Trying to abuse me in public? I can sue you for this non-sense you are trying to create and trying to name and shame me in public when you are at fault. I have observed your other replies as well. You are getting defensive with people who are leaving a negative review here and inturn blaming them for your bad service. You think you can use this cheap tactics to counter your negative reputation. You need to earn the respect by working on customer feedback, what was missing and why would a customer take time to leave negative feedback. Its for your good the review system is in place so that you can make it better next time they show up. You are personally attacking all the negative reviewers thinking that they are bunch of fools. I can teach you a very good lesson on how to behave and treat your customers in Canada. Don’t think you can get off with these cheap counter tactics so easily and Don’t ever try this...

Absolutely poor service. Always a big fan of their food. The person served on the till (cash counter) is very very rude. She has no sense of treating a customer. She made us feel unwelcomed , no eye contact, while I was placing my order for dine in, she interrupted me 3 times saying "is that everything" . Listen to what customers are ordering, once they stop talking, then you should be saying," is that everything or do you need any help in deciding desserts".

I ignored her not to spoil my mood. once the order is placed, she right away ORDERED saying, "sit on table 1, OK" with no eye contact

I could not take this, but ignored her second time for the same reason. We are done with our main course and we joined the line to order for desserts. There were another couple infront of us in the line and this cashier right away gave them our table WITH OUT CLEANING and even without asking us if we have completed our lunch. Such an ridiculous insult.

Now I wonder if I had my lunch on uncleaned table from the previous customers and I didn't feel hygienic.

SO we decided to place the desserts for to go, Once we placed order, she once again out rightly ORDERED us saying "WAIT FOR 15 MINUTES OK, STAND IN THE CORNER".

That's when I lost my coolness. I said, say "please" in everything you speak to me. dont order of what we have to do. We are here to spend our money to get food not to hear what she says. She doesn't have any idea of what she thinks of herself, to be precise, you are there to serve customers and you get paid to do this job. This lady needs training in talking and serving. If not, you screw your customers.

to the management : If you need more details and improve your service, lets connect and I can share you one more mistake from her. She wears spectacles.

by the way, food is just...
