Edited review after your comment:
To begin: we walked in and my husband went straight to the washroom and almost threw up, the smell was so bad in there and it was not clean there was dried up urine on top of the urinal (not clean anytime recently and we were there at noon)
We ordered our food, I told them I had a peanut allergy and server told me everything here had peanuts and I told him I had eaten from here before then the server went and came back and said no the biryani does not have peanuts(not to mention everything else we ordered that was also peanut free) just shows the waiter can’t be bothered with hospitality or attending to someone’s specialized dietary needs. Then we got our 4 pieces of chicken, first piece my husband took was raw in the middle, my first piece was fine. The other pieces were on our plates half eaten they were smaller pieces we tried to eat them but after we saw the raw chicken we did not feel like eating it. When we brought it to the servers attention the response was “oh” and he walked away never came back to address it. When I came to pay the bill the tandoori chicken was on my bill! you did not take it off as you mentioned in your reply, but I had to ask for it to be taken off my bill and the same guy who said “oh” and left went ahead and removed it off the bill with out any hassle.
Bottom line since you feel the need to attack every negative comment instead of figuring out how to correct it I think this is leadership issues. here are some tips.
The proper response at the time would have been:
How can we make it right, would you like us to re make this for you?
The proper response to my comment on here would be:
I do apologize for your experience and we take cleanliness very seriously and will address the washroom issue right away. As for the food issue I will address this with my kitchen right away and train our waiters on proper processes when customers have a concern. We would appreciate it if you give us an other chance to make things right please contact myself (owner/manager) before you arrive so I can personally ensure that you’re experience is flawless and you can have an opportunity for you to rethink and possibly amend you’re review.
The honest review per you’re request:
The biriyani was flavourful not the same as the first time my husband brought it home but good and the naan was great. The chtinaad lamb was nothing to write home about. The tandoori chicken I felt was not marinated long enough as the flavour on the outside was good and juicy but obviously under cooked on some pieces and the chicken underneath the exterior was flavourless. That along with the smell from the washroom lacking so much an air freshener and the poor service really ruined the over all meal.
All this can be fixed once owners and management decide to show some compassion and take negative reviews as a chance to improve and not try and bash on people you don’t agree with. If you take the time to ask every guest how their experience was at the door you will avoid 90% of negative reviews. People will have a chance to offer criticism or vent any frustration right to you at the door and walk away knowing if they should return to your establishment.

Service and food is not good. Service is very slow, and when we got the food, I told them they gave us raw chicken and they said “oh” and just walked away did nothing about it and then tried to charge us for it. Washrooms are soo bad, not even clean and we were there early in the day. Not acceptable! Needs...
Read moreDisclaimer: normally we order from Karara, which we really like, so my review is a bit of a comparison.
We ordered butter chicken, samosas, garlic nan and white rice.
Butter chicken: fantastic. Very flavourful, thick and creamy sauce, but not too heavy. Chicken could be slightly more tender, but was otherwise fine. Really good dish.
Samosas: nice and spicy, crunchy without being too fat. The sauce was also very nice and the right thickness.
Nan: I was a little disappointed at first, they were a bit tougher than expected, but we got used to it. I prefer them a little less tough though, but otherwise they were great and cut in quarters which we really liked!
Rice: fantastic. I didn't expect the rice to have any flavour, but maybe this was my favourite part of it all. You can literally eat it on its own and it would be wonderful. There's a really nice aroma and it was perfectly cooked!
All in all: a really positive experience and we're certainly going back to try other dishes (butter chicken was a safe bet, just to check out the restaurant).
The restaurant itself looks a little empty with not a lot of "atmosphere", so that's something that could be improved. Though, to be honest, there were quite a few people and that's always a good sign!
Also very friendly service from everyone.
Side note: I'm not sure how I feel about being asked a tip on a take-out order. I have no problem tipping on dining in (even if expect employers to pay their employees properly, I'm willing to tip for good service), but on a take-out I feel it's not entirely appropriate and it feels awkward to have to pick "no tip" when you're at the cash.
Just something...
Read moreThe moment you enter the restaurant, you'd like the ambience, nice thought out seating and cozy lighting but that's where the good part ends, at least for us it did. First off the major fkup that happened - my wife ordered 2 masala dosa. After few mins, a dosa arrived at our table. We, overexcited for a fresh dosa experience in new restaurant were taken aback when we found it had chicken filling inside. We asked the staff 3 times if this is masala dosa to which they replied yes, it's masala dosa with aloo filing. We insisted that it doesn't taste like masala and after we pressed, they took the plate for inspection and came back and said "sorry, it was a mistake by a new trainee and someone else's order was given to us" - convenient, eh? We even let the restaurant owner know what had happened but we got same response.
Anyway, we were definitely not pleased with our first experience but we let it pass and waited for our original order of 2 masala dosa. We got them soon. We also tried chole bhature. I would say food tasted average. Peanut chutney was too thick, sambhar was more viscous than what it should be. I liked the chilly served with bhature though. Service was slow as well even though there was not much rush. Glass placed on the table was dirty as well (see picture). May be it's a new restaurant and new staff but there little wiggle room when it comes to hospitality industry.
Having had a very unpleasant experience, not sure if I'll come back. Maybe I'll try it after few months once they get their act together and focus more on customer service where they need...
