Fantastic Patio ! Over looks the river . Great food . reasonable prices .
Editing my 5 star review .. Unfriendly arrogant staff . It started with us being seated , we requested to sit by the water for air flow as my spouse has very high blood pressure, it was very hot out and I thought maybe a breeze of any kind would help , she finally agreed but very reluctantly, then came to clear off table and ( half azzed washed it , my spouse asked her to come and clean the food off of it properly and she did). We were seated with no menus no drink list almost 10 mins passed before a waitress even approached us, 2 tables that were seated after us had everything and were served quickly and happily.( We were not !) it was Very busy , but that is no excuse, my husband and i offered 2 empty seats at our table to ANY couple who didn't mind sharing , i approached the hostess with this offer , an elderly couple was standing there ( apparently regulars) the so called knowledgeable staff was happy to seat them with us , after seating them , we were informed this isnt allowed !! , waitress ASHLEY became pretty much NON EXISTANT TO OUR TABLE after this.. I ended up puting a call in to the owner Dan ! , as Dan arrived I was accused by some other waitress of raising my voice when speaking to her at my table , so I showed the idiot what raising my voice meant ( now whole patio heard me ) other tables were not impressed with the way this was handled and told me so . Ashley refused me a glass of wine stating if it was for this lady I couldn't have it !! . Really? ( what I do with my money is not your business that's why you got a 6$ tip ) besids the fact after this all happened you did not attend our table ONCE !! to inquire if we wanted dessert or anything ( which we did) ..... Dan (owner, said it was ok for this time for this couple to join us,but should not have been allowed from the get go . Thats on the hostess not us, and stating "she is young " is also not an excuse) Food was mediocre this time , whole experience left a very bad feeling with us (we traveled 2 hours to enjoy this location) NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN WILL WE GO HERE !! NEVER !!!!!! ITS OFF MY LIST !! How dare they !!!!! So disrespectful, so ignorant !! You're not the only game in town and I will never ever ever prompt this place again !!! Shame on you all !! Once I'm seated , it's my table and I have the right to have family, friends or even a stranger join me if I choose. In the past , we had a couple join us at this very restaurant with no issues. There is nowhere to sit while you wait , no where to have a cold drink in the 38° heat . Zero handicap accessibility, crickity old wooden stair cases that are uneven and unstable. If I could give our experience a -1000 , I would . Not worth it to eat here and be disrespected by a bunch...

My 80 yr old mother, my partner and I visited Kelly's Landing for Mother's Day, hoping for a special experience. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and customer service fell short of expectations.
The seafood chowder, a signature dish priced at $18, contained very few small “Chinese” scallops and shrimp. We couldn't find any crab or clams advertised in the menu description. The broth lacked creaminess and had an unappetizing gray-green color. It appeared to be a gummy flour and water roux with little to no cream or even milk in it! (See pics) al this despite their actual menu description:
“ Seafood Chowder $18 - Our signature dish featuring shrimp, scallops, clams, crab, and fish in a creamy broth.
The fish and chips, while visually appealing, had an undercooked batter and the fish itself was wet, soggy, and undercooked. This resulted in one of our party members feeling unwell after the meal and actually becoming sick to his stomach.
We politely informed our waitress about these issues. While she was attentive and removed the fish and chips from our bill, the overall experience was disappointing, especially considering the price point and one party member getting sick.
We contacted the restaurant the next day to discuss our concerns, including the illness. The owner’s response was dismissive, and we were surprised to hear we were unwelcome back!!!!!?!??
More over, Dan ( the owner) said we brought the waitress to tears???? How odd, we only mentioned the issues quietly mid-way to near the end of the meal because it was Mother’s Day and we didn’t want to ruin the meal for my disabled 80 yr old mother. We also, repeatedly told her ( the waitress ) that it wasn’t her fault and left an 18% tip on a bill of 144.00 . Either someone is lying or the waitress needs got find a more suitable line of work .
Most restaurants would be concerned if a patron fell ill after visiting their establishment, Dan ( the owner) did not. In fact, he became defensive and dismissive. We should have known… as Dan sounds less than welcoming on his voice recording for the restaurant ….letting you know there are no large parties or reservations accepted.
I guess you don’t have to be that nice of you own a tourist trap / cash cow / restaurant where you serve poor quality food at inflated prices…. What’s a nice view of the river if the food and the service stinks more than their undercooked fish ?!?
Save your time and money and give your patronage to a restaurant with an owner that actually cares about ALL of theor their customers ( not just their local regulars) and the quality of ALL of their food and menu descriptions!!!!
Ps on a side note: this restaurant is NOT disability or...
Read moreMy family and I are regulars at Kelly's Landing and we love the place. In fact we have spent nearly $400 in the last 3 days alone. We come on average once per week and have recommended the establishment to many friends as an amazing place to go. I am sad to say that that recommendation will not be forthcoming anytime soon after what we experienced today at the hands of one of your hostesses. I know that the restaurant is a very popular place to dine and there are often long waits, we experienced that tonight and were happy to wait for our table. However after paying for our meals and just about finishing our drinks, the hostess came and abruptly interrupted our conversation to tell us to "hurry and finish up as there was a long line and the restaurant closes soon". My wife shad just ordered a glass of wine and clearly still had the majority of it left. We were so shocked by this that I said nothing and we sheepishly left as asked. There were two other tables that were seated at the same time as my family and at no time did the hostess approach anyone else to ask them to hurry up. We were left very hurt and saddened by this. Firstly if the restaurant's kitchen is closing one would think you would either advise clients that you are not taking any more seatings instead of rushing the patrons that are already seated just so you can cram in a few extra customers. This is a horrible way to treat regular customers and as much as we love to come to Kelly's Landing, we won't be back anytime soon. We were in no way doodling or taking extra time or wasting it for that matter and to be treated so terribly by your staff is simply unacceptable. I certainly don't expect anything to be done about this other than I hope that this sort of treatment is not repeated to any other customers. I will also be posting this on social media as I feel that others should know that as beautiful as Kelly's Landing is, patrons are encouraged to "hurry up because you have a long list of other patrons waiting for tables". Shameful and...
