Restaurant Papa Luigi — Restaurant in Saint-Sauveur

I was so disappointed. I went last 3 years and had an excellent meal. The food was very good and nicely plated. I was really looking forward to going back this year but it turned out to be a big disappointment. My sister and I both ordered the 5 oz filet mignon with scampies. I was shocked when the plate arrived...a $55 meal served with plain white spaghetti noodles with 3 scampies on top. I need to point out that when we ordered we asked what it came with and our waiter said that it came with a type of scalloped potatoes...then it arrived with spaghetti noodles. My sister asked where the scalloped potatoes were and the waiter brought her a side order. What a joke those were...a few sliced potatoes drowned in cream of mushroom soup! The vegetable was a simple oven baked whole tomato with burnt bread crumbs on top. I will give them one star for for my steak. Mine was tender, however, my sister's was awful. It wasn't cooked as she ordered it so she returned it and it came back slightly more cooked but it had been cut in several pieces and looked and tasted terrible. We suspect it had been put in the microwave. The scampies weren't very good either...not sure they were fresh...it was a chore to get them out of the shell. We probably should have gotten up and left when we saw the meal but we were starving and there was a thunderstorm outside. We ate what we could but left quite a bit on the plate. Good thing we did not eat it all because we were both sick to our stomach when we returned to our hotel. The total bill (2 people) with wine, salad, bread and coffee was $220. I don't mind paying a bill like that when it's a good experience, but this one certainly was not a good experience. If I'm going to pay $55 for an entree, I expect it to be very good as well as nicely plated. I do not recommend Papa Luigi. Don't know what's happening with this place...for 3 consecutive years that was there it was excellent but this year it was a meal from hell. There are many other restaurants in Saint-Sauveur and I suggest you try one...

Dont be fool by the friendly staff as u walk in,,,,this place is way rediculous over price ,,so keep your money please,, been there, been there 3 times,,when im in town once a year,,,was even looking forward to this year,,,,but the chef surprise is on us,,,the waiter ,, braggs that it come with potatoes ,,boulangerie , etc are u kidding me,,,,what i got was white blaned spagetti noodles , when i ask for the potatoes that i was suppose to get with my surf and turf he said oh u want those ,should of been a sign anyway came back with a small plate pretty sure it was campbell mushroom soup over microave potatoes, ,,im talking about a 55$ plate the ugliest thing ,,a big red tomato , white spagetti noodle i did not ask for ,3 scampie and a filet mignon send back once that came back worse, ,,,soi suggest you avoid this place ,,,,really it not good as it use to...

Was there Saturday night, arrived around 6:30. No reservations, but, they had place on the terrace. The waitress took our order (2 of us), bruschetta, salad, and 2 mains. Approximately 45 minutes, nothing was served except for our soft drinks, the waitress(very sweet, and understand I don't blame her) came to tell us she was sorry for the delay, but there was a group that was being served first, she was unaware until then. Fine, just wish I had been informed earlier, but she said the entrees would be out in a minute, 5 minutes, still nothing!!! Not even a piece of bread! 3 more minutes, nothing, so I decided that was enough! We got up and left!

Maybe I was wrong, but you could have at least bring out the salad and bruschetta! Maybe we were not important. I don't know, but I feel if your establishment can't handle all your clients at the same time, don't...
