Seating area is plentiful. Food is as advertised. Service is good, but I am seeing reviews that say otherwise. Food made-to-spec invites some entitled Karen-energy since it requires far more conversing than would be the case at nearby restaurants. I've seen customers be less than courteous to the workers, which could explain why the workers sometimes seem demoralized to some people but not others. None-the-less, customers are paying for the service, so it's on the franchisee to screen workers for personality and resilience.
Okay, with that said, and although Subway food is ho-hum generally, the aesthetic of the restaurant itself is top-notch. There is plenty of seating available, conversing is easy, and dining in is actually a good option here. You cannot beat the ambience at the fast food level. Clausterphobes (sp?) will rejoice. Picky eaters might get frustrated.
Deficiencies can be corrected, but there are limits to what a franchisee can do when a fast food business models involve substantive communications between workers and customers.
While I doubt a Subway restaurant can get 5 stars from me, 4 stars is realistic. This is probably the best Subway in Saskatoon, but not worth the trip to Evergreen.
Also, let's go easy asking for tips at fast food...

I visited this Subway location a few days ago during lunch, and it was a very disappointing experience overall. The two female staff members didnāt greet me and remained expressionless throughout. When I placed my order, they frowned as if they couldnāt understand me and responded in a very rude and unhelpful manner. I asked for a recommendation, but their attitude was clearly annoyed and dismissive, which made me feel very uncomfortable.
The food was just as bad. I ordered a rice bowl, and all they did was take rice out of a plastic pack and microwave it. It had a strong, unpleasant smell and tasted awful. For the price, the quality was shockingly low ā definitely not worth the money.
What made the experience even worse was seeing how the same staff, who had been cold and unfriendly to me, smiled and treated elderly white male customers with kindness and warmth. The contrast in treatment was impossible to ignore and felt discriminatory.
Basic politeness and fair treatment should be the minimum standard in customer service. Unfortunately, this location failed on both fronts. Serious...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received at one of your branches. I visited the store on Wednesday, June 11th, around 12 PM, and the experience was truly unacceptable. Both employees on duty looked visibly irritated and gave off a strong impression that they absolutely did not want to be there. Their attitude was unprofessional and made the entire atmosphere uncomfortable for customers. It felt like they were being forced to work and were taking it out on the people they were supposed to serve. When I politely asked for a sauce recommendation for a menu item I was unfamiliar with, one staff member responded with a frown and dismissively said something like, āfigure it out yourself.ā I was shocked by the rude attitudeāit felt as if I was being treated as an annoyance rather than a valued customer. On top of that, the rice bowl I ordered was poorly prepared and looked unappetizing. It was clear that no care or effort had...
