We've been hearing great things about his place but have always been weary about this place due to the hefty price tag. At an average of $13 for an 8" sandwich it seemed to quite high for a sandwich/sub. The venue was brightly lit, clean and ample space to sit down and have a meal. Our cashier was super friendly and nice, very informative as we were quite indecisive due to their extensive menu but she was able to recommend a few of their most popular sandwiches. We opted for #18 and 28. #18 Turkey, Bacon, Habanero Jack, Lettuce, Tomato, Sriracha Mayo and Cranberry Sauce. This was like a Turkey Dinner between a bun. Smokiness from the bacon, a little heat from the Habanero Jack and Sriracha Mayo offered a nice counter balance to the sweetness and tartness of the cranberry sauce. A good alternative to getting your turkey fix without the whole production of making a turkey dinner. #28 : Roast Beef, Bacon, Habanero Jack, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Hickory Sticks, Chipotle May, BBQ Sauce. This was our favorite between the both. Key note was the addition of the hickory sticks. They added not only an additional layer of texture with the crunch but the smoky and savoriness it added was a nice addition. Roast beef was moist and tender and overall very well composed. The only thing I would personally have liked would to have something done to the bun itself. The bun came out of the packaging straight to the assembly line so it was cold and took away from the goodness of the filling. A slight toast to give it a slight crunch and warmth would have been appreciated. Overall a great meal and I must say, yes! $13 is a heft price tag but the portion and how filling it is counteracts that. We were quite content after only eating half of the sandwich. We will return as this is a great option for a quick quality sandwich

It's nice to visit a sandwich 🥪 shop rather than the usual sub shop options. I ordered a No 1 (Turkey with stuffing & cranberry sauce) and added cheese & lettecue. There are a ton of options but if you make a variation to the sandwich you pay for each (as usual). Substitutions are free. A regular size is already $15. I did enjoy the unique bun and real Turkey. Overall the menu is nothing short of OVERWHELMING (waaaay too much to read) and I am a straightforward kind of gal when it comes to sandwiches so all the funky sauces, toppings are not my thing. Service was meh and parking was chaotic.

Friendly staff and decent sandwiches which are a step above Subway and Quiznos. And their pricing reflects that too. You pay just a little bit more for a little more quality. It's nice that they have arrived in the area, and more variety is always a good thing. That being said, in my humble opinion, The Carvery is *the* sandwich place to beat and yes, the pricing on that establishment is a step above Big Star Sandwich. And if you are interested in smaller "independent" sodas, Big Star Sandwich has quite a decent variety in their cooler for your selection.

This actually forced me to write my first review. If I could have given this 0 stars I would have, this location has been nothing less than horrible.. I've been going to Bigstar ever since the first location opened in New Westminster and have never been as dissapointed with a business until this location. I went for lunch today as usual as I tend to go a few times a week and normally get a small #3, received my sandwich with no lettuce, stale bread and weak portions. For a company known for their "hearty sandwich" slogan this place chimps out on all portion sizes. Bigstar was always known for their free add ons ex: pickles, cucumber, hickory sticks etc.. Today I was told that pickles are now an additional charge add on, same with cucumbers and EVEN LETTUCE.. Come on people, lettuce should be a fundamental free add on for any sandwich no matter where you get that from. Very dissapointed with this location and perhaps maybe it's because the owner of this franchise location is cheap, who knows..

If your looking to try Bigstar and haven't yet, do yourself a favor and go for a drive out to New West. Unless you want to pay an additional $1.50 on your sandwich for a couple pickle chunks, a few slices of cucumber and a bit of shredded lettuce.. Won't be going back. Sorry your company has lost a...

Sorry to say I had a very bad visit to The Big Star Sandwich Co. In South Surrey (White Rock). First I was served by a girl that did not ask me what I want on my sandwich, and said I did not want spicey stuff. But she said she put halopina peppers on it, but # 20 did not say it, and then had another lady come out and tell me the girl did not understand me - I am so tired of going to a resturant and having experiences like not understanding English...... and then I have to be OK with that and stick with my item (sandwich) how it was made. I may have highered my voice and express a little anger, but of course I was not asked if they can do anything. Until I expressed more anger and feed up with this customer service. They gave me a cookie for the mis- understanding.... ha ha. Well tried the sandwich in my car - could not eat it and will bring it home. Got a stomach ache 10 minutes later. Got home rearranged the sandwich, had the sandwich, a few bites again. 5-10 min. later stomach ache.. was on not feeling good, came out both sides! I believe that the Corner Beef or what ever was in the sandwich Got me sick! Are you sure the meat was not bad - smelt like it. I will never go to that location again. Or maybe any location, not impressed...
