11:59 Bar:Café — Restaurant in Toronto

We hosted our engagement party at 11:59 this past Saturday and I can't recommend this venue and their incredible team enough! From start to finish, the experience was flawless.

Kate, the Events Coordinator, was a dream to work with. She ensured every detail was perfect and made the planning process seamless. Kate was quick to respond to emails, provided thoughtful recommendations for food and drinks (which were chef's kiss), and went above and beyond to ensure everything was labeled for our guests with food allergies and sensitivities. On the day of the event, she handled setup and teardown with ease and even stepped in as our backup bartender - and absolutely rocked it!

Isabella, our server for the evening, was equally incredible. She managed food service for our 50 guests with care, professionalism, and impressive speed. She checked in throughout the night to make sure everything was going smoothly and that we were happy - and we absolutely were!

The food was a huge hit with all of our guests, and the espresso martinis are to die for! Everyone is still raving about the cocktails and vibes.

The entire team at 11:59 was phenomenal and I’d highly recommend them for private events, date nights, girls’ nights, you name it. If you’re looking for a venue with excellent service, fantastic food, and a team that truly cares about making your event special, 11:59 is the place to go.

Unexpectedly dissatisfied with my entire experience at 11:59 cafe. When I arrived, the place was not packed at all, there was lots of seating… yet when the server brought us to our seats, it was right by the door? And we just experienced a snow storm and it a freezing night. First red flag. Nonetheless we order our food and when it arrives, the longest piece of hair was right on top of our food, completely visible. I addressed this to the server (Isabella) who simply just removed it off the plate. Second red flag. At this point I’m just ready to leave. ALSO we ordered the charcuterie board at the end of our meal and the server said, word for word, “if you need any more crostini’s, let me know and I can bring more out for you.” Absolutely no mention of there being an extra charge. The board came with 5 little thin crackers so of course, we scarf those done and ask for more. For context, I always order cheese boards at resto’s and I have yet to be charged extra… until I came here. Ontop of our overly priced mediocre drinks, a mid-meal, and a sad cheese board, they charged me $5 for an extra 5 pieces of thin crackers…. And when I question to Isabella why she missed to mention we would be charged for these paper thin crackers, she replied, “Yeah… we do charge extra” lol okay thanks for telling me NOW after the fact? Personally there’s so much more cuter, reasonably priced, and better serviced cafes/bars out there, do your research and avoid this place...

Here’s what we tried:

Burrata Corn & Spinach Dip Salmon Cakes Caramel Biscoff Pudding To drink: Oakfire Essence, Garden Elixir (mocktail), Amethyst & Yuzu Sour (mocktail)

My favourite was surprisingly the oakfire essence! This cocktail is their version of an old fashioned and even though I’m not a whiskey drinker I throughly enjoyed this creation 😍 it was smoky yet a bit sweet and perfectly balanced for me 💯

The Amethyst was so pretty and refreshing, both mocktails were well balanced, my girl enjoyed them and I would totally drink both any day especially that fresh and citrusy yuzu sour 🤤

For food they’ve got a pretty good selection of small plates to keep you satisfied, our favourite was the salmon cakes! So perfectly moist and flakey 😋

Lastly I inhaled that caramel biscoff pudding, it was so creamy and perfectly crunchy with pieces of that caramel tuile, definitely my type of dessert! Perfect way to end off your night 🙌🏼

This spot is perfect to spend sometime with the girlies, on a date or even just a solo drink date! They are a cafe during the day, with lots of room so perfect to get some work done with a gorgeous change of scene ✨
