To be honest, I was not at all excited about Bingz because from the look of it, it’s just another Chinese restaurant with gimmicks. Selling Chinese crispy burgers (肉夹馍) in a Western fast food style? I was skeptical. We ordered 3 crispy burgers (signature pork, cumin chicken and butter chicken), liangpi with sesame sauce, and chili noodles with pork. Different from authentic crispy burgers, they use puff pastry as bun. I love it. It gives the burger a fresh taste, but it crumbles so easily and makes a mess while eating. My favorite out of the three is the cumin chicken, as it reminds me of lamb kebabs that are seasoned with lots of cumin. Liangpi is good, with a good amount of sesame sauce for mixing. I was worried that the chili noodles with pork would be too spicy, but I’m glad the spicy level is medium. People who like spicy food wouldn’t find it too tasteless, and people who can’t eat spicy food, especially non-Asians, would still be able to enjoy it. I still think it’s awkward to package crispy burgers as fast food, but after actually trying their products out, I think Bingz does a pretty good job. They keep the food quality up to standard without ruining the reputation of authentic Northern Chinese cuisine. Things I was very much disappointed with: 1. They don’t have tofu pudding (豆腐脑) at this location. I believe I saw it on the menu at the Markham location. I hope they make it available here soon. 2. Bingz tried too hard marketing their business to non-Chinese demographics and made their Chinese customers feel alienated in a way. No matter how good my English is, when I was forced to order 肉夹馍 and 凉皮 in English, I can’t help but feeling a bit sad.

Bingz Crispy Burger is located inside of STC's food court on the lower level in the back corner, on the right hand side. The food court is always loud, so it's kind of hard to order and hear what the cashier is saying. I came to Bingz to order 3 Crispy Burgers for Father's Day (just this past Sunday). I ordered The Signature Beef ($6.99), The Signature Pork ($5.99), and the Black Pepper Beef ($6.99). Took it back home as a Father's Day gift for the family. Cutting the Crispy Burgers was slightly difficult, as the flaky bits and pieces started to shoot off in different directions. I suppose it was just meant to be eaten as is. My parents shared the Signature Beef and Pork Crispy Burgers, while I ate the Black Pepper Beef one. They told me that the unique burgers were quite heavy and oily/greasy. Also very salty, flavorful and quite filling. The Black Pepper Beef was seasoned very well, with just the right amount of spicy kick. One of the crispy burgers left a grease stain on the bag. Overall, the Crispy Burgers were a unique take on the regular ol' burgers. I figured my dad would find it interesting, as he does love himself his burgers/fries/pizzas. I saw that Bingz also has a variety of other food/drink items on their menu, such as the Hot Creamy Corn Milk (sounds weird and interesting - it's a limited timed item). Would definitely go back to try some of the other items on the menu. The stuff on the menu looks hella good.

Bingz is a restaurant founded by 2 Chinese programmers in Beijing. The crispy burger was invented 2000 years ago in the Qin Dynasty. Enough of the history lesson, I came here to try their crispy burger for the first time. This restaurant was one of the first locations opened in Canada. It's located in Scarborough Town Centre. I tried the signature pork burger for $2.99 (coupon), which is marinated pork in their crispy bun. The bun is crispy and flaky almost like a Jamaican patty. The pork was tender and juicy. The burger itself is about the size of a quarter pounder burger. The menu serves up other delicious Chinese fare like wonton soup, hot and sour glass noodles, and cold noodles. The burgers come in various flavours like black pepper beef, signature beef, butter chicken, bbq mushroom, Cumin chicken, and healthy veggie. I will definitely come back and try the other burgers and maybe some hot wonton noodle soup! It appears most of the items are made from scratch. The kitchen was fully staffed, with many people manning different cooking stations. Great signage which is bright and appealing. You can upgrade to a combo for just $4 which includes smoking hot rock fries and pop. If you're looking for something fresh and new to eat this place definitely "meats" the criteria. Honestly I hate the crispiness of the burger and the way it crumbs all over my clothes, but I have to give them credit on how fresh and filling it is every single time I buy one. I've only tried 2 flavours so far: butter chicken and signature beef. The beef is like stewed beef pieces or beef brisket? It's a bit on the salty side, but only noticeable once it cools down. The butter chicken is reminiscent of the jars you can get at Costco.

I've also tried one of their noodles, and it comes in a big portion, but wasn't a fan of the flavour as it was a bit too sour.

The drinks are OK. I have been trying out the different drinks they offer that aren't fountain pop and have not found the one yet.

I come here mainly for the fries. They now have 2 types: spicy and cheesy. My favourite is the cheesy; it's sweet and spicy, but the spicy original is also addicting too.

They usually serve within 5 minutes from ordering. There's usually about 5 people waiting on an order when I visit (weekends during the day). Service is also always really attentive and they put a lot of attention into ensuring you get a certain level of high quality service. Shoutout to the one guy that always ends up taking my order with his super extra over the top service – he always adds to the experience!

Located in the lower level food court of STC in the corner neighbouring Naan & Kabob and...
