Jp Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Toronto

First time I went with my girlfriends tonight , when we walked in we had a server walk right past us until another server from behind the bar came and seated us , we wanted to sit at the top on the Dj side forgot what the servers name was ( tall blonde lady ), I felt we were kinda being rushed to order but food came out quickly, as the three of us are eating their was another server ( same server who walked past us when we first came in ) kept constantly coming over and trying to clear plates , at points she reached over the food while we were eating in order to grab glasses , our server who sat us came to check up on us while the other server was clearing the glasses, our server let her know her guests are fine and she’s attending to the table , the other server let the blonde server know ( this was her section and they began to bicker back and forth ) I had to tell them to let it go , blonde lady was really nice about it ( she laughed it off and said they were joking ) , I knew it wasn’t a joke and thought it was very inappropriate, she then told the blonde lady to go get us take out containers cause this is her section , all in all it was okay my bill was kinda expensive 57$ I got the seafood medley26$ , split a pepper shrimp6$ , and one tequila and orange juice 6$, our server didnt mention to us that gratuity was included even though we were only a table of 3 & the grat was almost 10$ usually they do this for parties of 4 or more so I was confused and asked her why the grat was on the bill she her self seemed unsure really gave us a couple of different answers, food was good but I don’t think I’ll go back for the experience. - forgot to mention if I didn’t see that she added the grat on the bill she would have never mentioned it to us and I would have tipped her more , my friends didn’t realize their bills had grats on...

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Our server was attempting to serve 20 + people basically by herself with a tiny bit of occasional help from another person .She seemed really annoyed by our group from the minute we started interacting with her. She has no customer service skills. Idk if she had something in personal life going on but she was really grumpy and visibly irritated the entire time. I was actually afraid to flag her down. We never got checked up on. They served our drinks in red solo cups? We had to get up and walk to the bar to get more drinks (because nobody was coming to ask us if we needed anything) where we were ignored for quite some time before someone finally came and asked us if we wanted something. Apparently there’s only 2 people in the kitchen??? Why the heck would you take on a party of 20+ people ( who booked in advance) plus all the regulars with 2 servers and 2 cooks in the entire restaurant.they were completely overwhelmed. The place needs a renovation asap. Our table was wonky as hell. And part of the place looks abandoned. Food came out at very different times but some people waited over an hour for their food. They kept forgetting parts of peoples meals. It was just a whole mess. I blame all of this on management. Maybe they don’t have much money to work with, but they need to hire more staff ASAP or don’t take on groups that large if you can’t handle it. Dj was wayyyy too loud. Worst service ever. Bad decor. Food was 7.5 ( shrimp and chicken pasta ) one waitress (manager) for many tables. She got the orders messed up so many times. The service was very poor. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and wouldn’t come back. The dj was probably the only good thing here. They need Gordon Ramsay to come and help them out because it was bad bad bad. You’ll wait 40 to an hour for your food and when you get it it might end up going to the wrong person. Wouldn’t come back here. No water was served at our table and when it was requested she would go missing. Tables were backyard tables, not anything meant for a restaurant. Why would anyone bring their friends and family here ??? Pretty embarrassing. As a manager, why would you only have yourself taking orders and serving on a Friday night when it was basically a full house. So you’re doing everything alone with maybe 70 people waiting for their food??? Need to increase your staff and improve on your customer service skills. Wouldn’t recommend booking for a special occasion either because your guests will be very upset and hungry. When it came time to order, they didn’t have this and they didn’t have that, never experienced that at a restaurant ever.
