Pizza Pizza — Restaurant in Toronto

I have visited this location alot over the years and I really miss the previous staff (quality and service were much better). On this visit, I noticed a cockroach on the north wall not far from where the pizza slices were displayed. When I brought it to the attention of the gentleman waiting on me, he just shrugged and said he'd deal with it later. When I insisted it should be dealt with now, he got irritated and told me it had "flown in" since they kept their doors open. (It was about 2 1/2 inches in size with no discernable wings so it didn't fly in from anywhere). The only other staff member working came from the kitchen to hear the conversation. Unfortunately his attitude was the same, even when I told them they could lose their positive rating from public health and be reported to head office. It makes you wonder what other pests or lack of adherence to food service rules is happening when they refuse to deal with cockroaches in plain sight in the seating area...

This places makes me sad. Sad that I ever even eat here, sad that this is my local pizza joint, and sad that others have to eat here too.

I mean, the food is ok; your typical Pizza Pizza quality. But man is the service abhorrent. Almost everyone looks like they want to kill themselves. The man who is always working (manager maybe?) is just a straight up a**hole. Impatient and angry; on the verge of murder.

In a parallel universe, this would be a cute local pizzeria that makes good food. Instead, it’s a Pizza Pizza, with delivery that tastes like Delissio and service fit...

I live in the area and used to be a regular at this location. I came in this evening and there was a fresh deluxe pizza put out on display and also 2 clearly old, stale slices from the afternoon.

The Persian gentleman working refused to sell me the fresh slice, instead insisted I have to buy the whole pizza or take a stale slice.

I don't know about you but I've never once in all my years have gone into a pizza place with the intention of buying a whole pizza and taking the one that was already on display.

Needless to say, I left hungry.

I'll never go back to this...
