Their Facebook get-a-free-piece-of-chicken offer got me in the place, and now I cannot understand what took me so long! Their chicken remained crispy, even after transporting my take-out order home. The pieces seem to be so much bigger than most places I've been and the portions on the combo was generous. The three piece combo did me for three meals! But really it's the flavour of the spice mix that will bring me back. Just enough heat to give it a little kick and the flavour profile was absolutely delicious. The fries were good but let's talk about the biscuit. It was big and fluffy with actual layers, just like a biscuit is supposed to have. These could pass for homemade, easy. The ambiance is lovely, very simple with nice touches, like the whisk chandeliers and a large chalkboard wall. The staff and owner were delightful. Genuine conversation and a yummy cup of coffee while I waited for my order. This place has officially been added to my roster of Vancouver faves.

We had high hopes for this place considering the reviews we had scene. We ordered the onion rings, the bonut and the Freddy. The onion rings were a total let down. They were crunchy but definitely over salted/flavoured. It left a really strong garlicky onion flavour in my mouth. The Freddy biscuit with the chicken breast and marinara sauce was also disappointing. The chicken was crispy but the breading didn't stick well to the chicken which resulted in a not very pleasant eating experience. The biscuit itself was nice and buttery but the marinara kind of overtook the whole flavour aspect making the biscuits flavour hidden. The bonut was on the oilier side but it had a good amount of Earl Grey flavour to it. The service was really good and attentive. You could definitely see that they were people who really enjoyed their craft and passionate about food. But I guess the food just wasn't my style.

Came here for a bit of a brunch chaser...wished I had enough space to try the full chicken biscuit sandwiches. Instead, I got a breakfast sandwich that the staff recommended as it was supposedly lighter. The cheddar jalapeno biscuit it came with was very light but did not have a ton of flavour. The top was crispy but the bottom got weighed down by the filling and was soggy even though I ate it right away. The eggs and bacon inside were good. The breakfast sandwich costed $14 though...for something similar to what I could get from Timmies at a fraction of the price, I don't know if I would order this again from here. Interior design was inviting and the menu was simple enough to choose from. I think it would be a much better and livelier experience if we could come again for actual brunch and try one of their chicken sandwiches.

If I could give this place 10/5 stars I would!!! The food is so incredible, flavourful, and filling. Hot momma Benny is exactly like the chicken my mom would make - except better. just the perfect combo of hot sauce and butter with hollaindaise and crispy chicken…. I’m gonna be dreaming of it for a long time. My partner loved every bit of his sandwich, fries and zucchini ( also huge standout item). The food was so amazing, it was so sad to have to leave our fries 🄺 but it just hits the spot I’m still so full 7 hours later.

The patio in the back is adorable!!! Such a great accent to the modern and welcoming restaurant. Nice and peaceful, some cool tunes and a clean environment. Love the decor too!

Now the absolute standout has to be Chewie- he’s such a wonderful person and a standout example of hospitality at its finest. Every time we have walked in, when we see him we know it’s going to be an amazing experience and fantastic food. I mentioned it was my partners birthday and he made sure it was a special experience!! He also remembered us from over a year ago- that was so special because we remembered his incredible attitude as well.

Highly reccomend anyone looking for a perfect breakfast/ lunch/ and dinner!!! Chewies is top of the line in every aspect, I can’t wait to visit again when I come back...

A friend told me she's been coming to Chewie's almost 2-3 times a week as it's been her comfort food throughout this pandemic and claims that it's the best in Vancouver, so I just had to try it out today. I had clicked on an ad to get a 2 piece combo for free with the purchase of another combo so it was the best opportunity to try it out. I'm a newly single mom, laid off due to the pandemic, so this deal really helped me to stretch my budget this week. I devoured a piece of chicken and also tried their Mac n Cheese and I do have to say I agree with my friend, it IS THE BEST fried chicken I've had in Vancouver! The staff there are amazing, especially Alicia and her colleague who cooked everything to perfection. Besides the great quality of the food, what's best is that it's affordable, ($14 combo for 2 pieces of chicken with a side and biscuit or you can opt for just a single $4 thigh or $3 drumstick) they use compostable take out containers, their safety protocols are fantastic, lovely staff... please try Chewie's if you haven't already. Let's keep this business going! Thanks again, I look forward to trying the...

Love going to Chewies and getting my favorite dish; hot mumma style chicken benny. The overall portions and pricing are pretty decent, and not usually any extensive line up like other places in the neighbourhood. I love that they have Valentina hot sauce available as well, it pairs very well with breakfast-type foods.

Their biscuits are on point, made fresh, and are super fluffy. The fried chicken is always fried to order, and they make their own doughnuts that are pretty awesome.

Only critiques I have are:

Hashbrowns. The pictures of the dishes on the menu make it look like you're going to get a decent serving of hashbrowns but that's not what you get; instead you get a small ramekin dish of hashbrowns. A little disappointing.

Ordering. Despite only having approximately 20 seats inside the restaurant, you still have to order at the counter like a take-out restaurant. They bring you your drinks, cutlery, food and provide all the other aspects of a full table-service restaurant except for the...
