First time at the restaurant, I went because the Google reviews were good and I was craving pasta so I had to try it ! When I arrived I waited at the counter for 5 minutes before I was asked if I was helped. I thought this was just a one off and said “no , I’d like a table for one and I know what I’d like to order as I’m on a bit of a time restraint”. I ordered a glass of water and the twenty four dollar spaghetti and meatballs. I was sat at a table. The water came after about 5 minutes. I patiently waited at my table for 25 minutes until a bread basket was dropped on my table and I was promised my spaghetti would be right out. At 30 minutes a waitress came by and said I’ll get the bill for you. I laughed and replied I haven’t even had my food, and I’m actually ready to leave. She panicked ans then rushed to the kitchen. A man came out with my food and unprofessionally blamed the lady. He told me she was new and it was her second day. He then brought pepper and cheese but he was out of cheese and seemed annoyed that I had asked for it after he offered it. When that was done, he came back another time and asked if I wanted a spoon.... I’ve never been to an Italian restaurant that didn’t just bring you a spoon with your pasta! Haha! Anyways while I was eating my food minding my own business this same man came back and heckled me as I ate !! Basically said it wasn’t his fault the food took so long. That there was other tables, there was 3 people in the kitchen, the list went on. I mentioned that it would have been really nice if they had pushed my simple order thru and his response was well this isn’t fast food, I’m sorry you feel that way. I asked for the bill and a box for my left overs, after another 5 minutes a box was bought out. The bill didn’t come to my table even though it did for everyone else in the restaurant. I was already late for the rest of my evening so walked up to the front and paid.
So to summarize it all it took 35 minutes to get my food, the staff has a bad attitude problem and the spaghetti is very mediocre.
This restaurant should be called the poor service not the...
Read moreFirst off, I’ve driven by so many time and said a million time I was gonna go in and never had the chance; until Friday night.
From an inclusive feel when we walked in the hosts welcomed us and got us the last table on a busy night.
The vibe was great, the music was authentic and just what you’d wanna hear at an old school Italian restaurant.
As for the food. We ordered Calamari and Drunken Mussels and Caprese Salad as starters, they were fantastic. The calamari was fresh and crispy, the mussels were huge and delicious and the caprese salad was the right light touch to add some awesome freshness to our starters. For main courses we got Tortelloni with pancetta and peas in a cream sauce, Veal Marsala and the Lobster Linguine which was on their Seafood Festival menu until the end of the month. They were fabulous: the tortelloni was tender and fresh, the Marsala was awesome (gotta love mushrooms) and the Lobster Linguine was so fresh with deshelled chunks of Lobster on top!! Lastly we ordered a house made tiramisu and it was to die for!! Wow!! Great way to end with an awesome cappuccino!!
The service was honestly maybe the best, everyone there top to bottom I feel I had an encounter with. The hostess’ when we walked in and taken to our table (also helped us pay), the bus boys brought us free fresh baked bread and offered cheese and peppers when our food came, and our server (young, we’ll put together male) was fantastic. You could tell they were busy, but you know what? That’s great! Good for them! We got to enjoy ourselves, we didn’t wait too long for anything, it was all respectable and great.
Go to this restaurant for a great atmosphere, amazing service and delicious food. Relax and enjoy yourself while you are there, just take it all in and digest every meal and save room for dessert!
We’ll be back soon and will be regulars now instead of driving by a million times and say…one day we’ll go. Already booked reservations...
Read moreHave been here numerous times before. It was a staple of Italian food. Never the best but it was always good.
Went here the other night and had the worst experience. Arrived and the hosts seemed annoyed that we arrived. Asked us if we had a reservation, and when we said no acted as if the restaurant could not seat us. That wouldn't have been a problem if they were busy, but almost all tables were empty. But still I gave them the benefit of the doubt here and was ready to leave with no animosity. The hostess continued to make it out to be such an inconvenience, "I will have to see if we have any room for you, if we can squeeze you in since you don't have a reservation like most people would..." Odd encounter at this point but that is fine I guess. Obviously we were seated right away as the restaurant was pretty sparsely populated.
We sat down, our server approached and we ordered some drinks. Unfortunately we should have ordered everything at once, as I did not see our server again for a very long time. Our drinks, when they finally arrived, were watered down, and I could barely taste any alcohol. We finally flagged down our server, who again seemed annoyed at our presence in this pretty sparse restaurant. Our food arrived, and it was cold. I mean it was lukewarm at best. It was flavourless and just was not a good meal.
I think the restaurant must have changed hands, as this is not the service I am used to. We had to wait for a long time to finally get the bill. There was no opportunity to tell anyone about our food, no one seemed to care. The server asked when I was paying "how did you enjoy your meal," I responded honestly and said I didn't, they responded "that's nice..."
This used to be a good establishment, not anymore. Save your money and eat anywhere else, I hear McDonalds is a good...
