Sonia's patio — Restaurant in West Nipissing

Sonia’s Patio is beyond the best place to grab a bite to eat in Sturgeon Falls. The service we had was friendly and quick as well with the most delicious food! My husband and I chose to work with Sonia’s patio for our catering for our wedding on our farm. This was by far the best decision we made, they were easy to work with, calmed my nerves, and made a custom meal for our special day. They showed up early to setup and were happy to serve us and our guests buffet style. The portions were generous so everyone was full with some amazing food. The food itself tasted amazing and the guest were raving about the flavours, portions and options. The appetizers and desserts were fantastic as well and delicious! Their cheesecake was beyond amazing and so much better than any cheesecake we’ve ever had! Also the week after our wedding we had their buffalo dill pickle poutine and burger, we took it to go and the portion was very generous for a good price and was so very tasty! I was served a raw hamburger and then told to ‘’ calm down’’ when I asked for a refund and refused to be served another uncooked hamburger in place of a refund.

The owner was quick to roll her eyes at me and raise her voice. She tried to blame it on her seasonings not being properly mixed in even though the burger was CLEARLY uncooked. She came to my table with one of the patties, proceeded to tear it open infront of my boyfriend and I, and showed us that the burger wasn’t AT ALL COOKED THROUGHOUT. She tried to convince me to reorder ANOTHER UNCOOKED BURGER, so she wouldn’t have to refund me.

Within FIFTEEN MINUTES of leaving the restaurant I felt sick to my stomach and puked on the way home. Now here I am, an hour later, sweating profusely and getting sharp pains in my abdomen.

The health department should investigate asap, because who knows what other corners are cut in...

Awesome atmosphere. My family & I come to Sturgeon every summer. This has become our go-to spot.

Whether you just want somewhere cozy to enjoy a drink and live music, or if you're looking for a tasty, fresh meal, this is the place to be. We spent hours here Friday night enjoying the live music and having drinks under the cozy lights on the patio. We noticed how good the food being brought out looked and came back Saturday for dinner.

The food was all handmade, super fresh and delicious! The owner Sonia is also actively taking orders and interacting with customers.
