Villa Villa Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

I loved Villa Villa and I still want to love them but they may have grown too popular to keep up?

Called ahead for a takeaway order of 1 pizza. Arrived 20 minutes later per their instructions, paid my bill upon arrival and asked how long more it will take. The answer was it should be out in a bit, BUT had to wait another 20 minutes. Obviously impatient and hungry by now but thought at least I can go home and have my pizza.

Went straight home (5 minutes walking distance away) only to discover that my pizza was COLD.

What gives? Super sad and disappointed.

Initially wanted to give 3 stars (mainly for previous positive experience), but at this price point for a pizza in North Point decided that 2 stars is probably more...

Was not in the mood for food like I usually am because my phone died on me.

Ordered the Chips coated in salty egg yolk set which comes with a yoghurt drink for $68 which is quite a good deal because I was going to order a drink anyway.

These chips are a must eat item, they were coated in delicious salty egg yolk which gave it a starchy salty crunch.

I chose the lychee yoghurt drink which had a huge cute mushroom shaped foam cap.

It had a fragrant lychee taste with a hint of calpis.

The Asian style pizza was the star of the show, topped with delicious tasty...

The villa villa cafe & bar is easy to access as it's just 2 mins away from the North point station, but you will have to walk pass a ally that's not easy to be seen if you've never been to the area. We've booked a table at 8:30pm but still waited for a 40mins, even under the current situation, you can tell it's popular. The homemade ravioli is my favorite dish here, the pasta dough was thinly comprised and each pocket is packed with cheese fillings. Can also give it a go on the desserts as you get a discount if ordered...
