We stopped by here for a quick bite before boarding our plane! I want to commend and thank Irene and Cyrus, both managers, for being flexible and kind.
My daughter is allergic to some items on the menu and was uncomfortable ordering a meal. I asked Irene if it would be ok to bring in outside food so my daughter didn’t need to wait for us to finish. Irene went above and beyond to bend the “no outside food or drinks” rule so my daughter could eat with us. This is so rare to find in HK!! I am extremely grateful that Irene was able to do that for us!
Additionally, I had a brief interaction with a stranger at our table. I wasn’t sure what was happening and was confused. After the interaction, another manager, Cyrus stopped by the table to check in to make sure everything was ok before we left.
Aside from the excellent food with huge portions for a cha chan tang, the service, care, and understanding was above and beyond.
If you are waiting for a flight and want one last authentic Hong Kong meal, stop by Tsui Wah, you...
Read moreWe had an excellent dinner here before checking in for a flight. It is next to McDonalds and you can actually get a table to sit at, with no pressure to rush. Also plenty of space for our suitcases (no trolleys). The staff were very friendly which was also a surprise. You order food at the table using QR code and phone which worked perfectly. Actually better than a waiter as English menu and photos made for easy selection. Once ordered the food came extremely quickly. We had the set meal which included a soup and a drink. Surprisingly the soup was not just liquid water but actually really tasty we had both borsch and mushroom soups and both were equally tasty. The main course was chicken and the portions were generous with good seasoning and large plate of rice. We also had a side dish of vegetables, also good. It's airport food but it was a lot better than McDonalds, with friendly service and good food. Definitely will go back. Set dinner for 2 with extra...
Read moreThis is a classic example of how a restaurant should not be run in an international airport.
Yes, it tried to exhibit the vibes of classic Hong Kong cafe “茶記”. I only felt the “pay and get out” vibes which for the price and location is not ideal.
What you will get are over charged set meals repeatedly served on trays rushed out by waiters whom mechanically dumped on your tables as if you are wasting their time. There is no customer service. Zero except when they make sure you pay.
We asked the poor soul about a missing dish. There was no response while he kept the assembly line going. It arrived minutes later along with the other 8 identical plates of food.
Nobody mentioned to order via the QR code while we are trying to get anyone’s attention who are too busy telling their peers on intercom to fill empty tables. An eating customer told us about the QR code, bless him.
The milk tea is great. That I will give the chef for it. But please, Go to...
