UPDATE: having visited Satya’s again for takeout, I have to adjust my review and scores. This was a very disappointing meal and takeout experience. I had an uncomfortable exchange with the manager where I stated my name after arriving 15 minutes after the pickup time and he came back with my food saying “you’re late.” A small thing, but left a sour taste in my mouth. Speaking of sour tastes, the 26c. Paneer Butter Masala was frankly inedible, and after my girlfriend and I both tasted it we had to throw it out and drink water to avoid the unpleasant spicy flavor. My butter chicken was flat in flavor and oddly sweet, bearing more resemblance to butternut squash soup with chicken than the rich spices I expect from this dish. The naan was similarly disappointing, dry and chewy, although that could be due to me being a little late with the pickup. The only redeeming item we got was the 14. Tandoori mix, which had juicy chicken covered in spices, although the salt levels were sometimes too much on individual pieces.

I’m leaving my original review in place to show how much my opinion has changed on this restaurant. I’m so disappointed with this meal, and I really hope Satya’s can turn it around because from now on I’ll be getting takeout from Indian Hot. I’ve heard similar issues from friends who had a lovely first experience and have noticed a striking decline in quality.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Had a lovely time at Satya’s! Service was fast and smooth, the ambience is lovely, and the staff were sweet and helpful.

Food: I had the Chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and some rice, which was all lovely, especially the tikka. They also have a few Anarkist beers on tap which was a welcome surprise!

All in all, a great experience and I plan on trying more of the menu, as delivery and dine-in :)
