Old Mates Turku — Restaurant in Turku sub-region

This was such a lovely place to grab a quick drink and a very tasty meal. Being British, and visiting a British pub, it's somewhat of a pun, but nevertheless I would highly recommend this place. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly barman (who spoke impeccable English), who made us feel completely at home. He gave us some guidance on Finnish beer, which we were thankful for as we're not beer connoisseurs! (I would highly recommend the Lapland and IPAs) Food wise, we went for the fish and chips (highly British!) and Halloumi Fries, and were not disappointed by either!

On the whole, amazing and friendly bar and kitchen staff, lovely atmosphere, and good beer. I would recommend it to anyone...

I came here to watch the Champions League match for my team, and honestly, this place made my night. The atmosphere was brilliant — lively, cozy, and full of good vibes.

A huge shoutout to Lea, the bartender. She’s the loveliest I’ve met in Finland — super welcoming, always smiling, and just an amazing person to chat with. Her beer suggestions were absolutely on point, and she made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in.

No reviews? I'll go first then. Stopped in for a pint and a bite while waiting for my train. Fish and chips were really good, with nice crisp batter. The interior felt spacious and clean. I also thought the decor was funny and in good taste. My only complaint is a lack of malt vinegar for the chips....
