Café du Cap — Restaurant in Grasse

We had a nice brunch here, the highlight being the view over the harbour. The brunch platter is a very good deal - pastry, granola, pancake, omelette, avocado toast, fresh orange juice and coffee for 27 euros (although it’s an additional 1 euro if you want milk with your coffee which is a little tight). I especially liked the fresh orange juice and the omelette but the brunch would have been ever better with the addition of a little fresh fruit (I was surprised the ‘fruit granola’ didn’t have any) and the coffee was pretty average. The owner Alexis and his staff could not be more friendly and kind and service minded than they are. They use only the freshest raw materials and best ingredients, and the chef has a magic touch that is rare to find. Wow! All this quality for a price that is made possible only by the owners generous spirit. I am so impressed that I was motivated to leave a review, which I barely ever do, but this experience moved me to do it to honor this high level of service and kindness. I order a croque monsieur and get a sandwich.

First time in France and one of the things I was more excited about was try a croque monsieur. The reception was not welcoming even if didn’t have yet any clients at the Restaurant.

The rose sauce that come with the fries looks one of those you can get in any supermarket. If was a hollandaise sauce, would be more interesting.
