Tasty. Fun. Not authentic donburi. But who cares if it tastes really good??
Go to the Wikipedia of donburi. Many types are stewed ingredients (in soy, broth and/or sweet cooking wine) and then pouring this on top of plain rice. They fail to mention tataki-don (mix of chopped raw tuna and tuna fat) or other types of Don with plain rice + pure ingredients. Kombo (a foreign word properly spelled with the correct alphabet) implies combination. The food is a bit of a mix of concepts. Which to repeat: delicious. The lanterns outside say "Sushi". The sign outside says Donburi-Foods. Only the first of the two Japanese kanji figures is needed for Don or Donburi. Please go to YouTube and watch how to make Oyakodon (Mother & Child dish) and Gyudon (beef stewed in dark sheet soy with onions). They are very popular dishes in Japan. Mother (chicken) and child (egg) Oyakodon is amazing.

The gentleman working in the restaurant forgot to bring tea and apologised by offering mochi to all of us. Very...

Although there are not many seats available, one can usually find spare chairs easily. The staff is very nice and friendly and...
