BERLINER wunderbar Bastille — Restaurant in Paris

Was expecting a much better experience. The bar is very well decorated, well located, the beer is good, although the planches were among the lamest I've ever seen (a lot of green stuff no one eats just to take space and just some "meh" cheese, three tranches de jambon). That having been said, very loud techno music started blasting 20h and it started seeming like a nightclub (which I did not expect from the pictures of the place). Even screaming we couldn't talk to each other, and what is strange is that there was no one dancing or seeming to enjoy it (besides the waiters...). But what was really worse than the music was the service. It was super slow, and we ordered stuff that were never delivered, more than once ! The waiter did not like when we asked to slightly lower the volume, it seems that they would rather lose six clients. So yeah, we were all disappointed and don't mind...

The staff is miserable and overall the place is pathetic.

It was my wife's birthday and we had booked the place for 15 People.

They put us in the basement level, with cramped seating and bang opposite to the loo. Sadly we did not have a backup plan and it totally ruined the day for all of us.

The Place is Overrated and the service does not justify it. The Beer is average, you can find better brews in almost any place in Paris and the food menu is non-existent. The few snacks you can order are boring at best.

If you are looking for an experience this place is a NO GO. But if you are tired and cannot walk any more and you want to fake a German Experience somehow, drop by, but you won't like it.

I get why everyone gives this place a great review. It has cheap food and cheap drinks. The atmosphere is also very chill. But, that is not where the description ends. The place might be nice, but the service is not. The servers and even the owner has a very mean attitude towards customers. It's their way or nothing. Also, if you happen to be a guy your bathroom options are limited to peeing. So I would avoid the curry wurst or anything spicy. :( I think I might have just had caught the people here in a bad night, but it made mine unpleasant, so my rating here...
