My mother and I were roaming around in Paris several weeks ago on August 27th. We came across Thuy Long and decided to have a quick meal before exploring further into the city. While the restaurant isn't very big, it has a welcoming, and cozy feel to it. I will admit, it took me several minutes to decide what I wanted because it all looked absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, I did forget the names of what we ordered but I do remember what they looked like, so I am just basing the names off of the pictures that you can find on their website. I ordered the Nguyen Fuong Lien. This consisted of noodles that had a delicious meat (I'm pretty sure it was beef,) been sprouts and basil. Let me tell you, this meal was to die for. My mom however, ordered the Bo Bun, and received a gorgeous array of noodles, thinly sliced carrots, basil, meat (I believe it was chicken,) and spring rolls that had a delicious crunch to them. I ended up eating not only my food, but a good bit of my mothers food too. Rest assured, the portions were big, and filled me up to the brim. Of course, as we finished the divine foods I absolutely had to get a desert..so I got two. The first one was a creamy rice with mango, lychee and tiger fruit. THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST DESSERTS I HAD EVER CONSUMED. Finally, I had 2 mango mochi which were absolutely divine. To go with the desserts, I had also ordered a peach iced tea. In total, for two huge bowls of scrumptious food, two desserts, AND a drink, it summed up to $34 dollars. Customer service was marvelous! Next year when we visit Paris, we will absolutely be...
Read moreI was excited to try this place because the reviews were so high. I was a bit dissapointed because towards the bottom of my bowl the food felt a bit mushy. I got the vegan bo bun which did have nice flavor but the eggplants I didn't have a taste for. The restaurant was not impeccably clean (mostly a little dusty in some places like window corner and bathroom). I felt comfortable with the food quality, but did not love the sound of the microwave. I really respect the businessowner as a one woman show and the food she made was good. Overall to me the place just needs a little deep clean. Cute spot for a quick lunch, next time I wouldn't go out of my way/cross town to come here, but I would stop in for a lunch if I'm in the...
