B com Brasserie — Restaurant in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois

Today we stopped in on a whim as we were travelling from Annecy to Geneva. We had an incredible experience today from the service, the ambiance, the presentation of the food and taste!!

I had the mozzarella cheese and beefsteak tomatoe salad garnished with basil olive oil and pesto. This is advertised as a starter but it was plenty enough as a meal. It was delicious.

My boyfriend had the crab salad which was crisp and fresh. The other three had the lunch special - salmon tartar salad, mixed couscous (topped with beef chicken sausage roasted potatoes and carrots- this was a massive dish) and finished with a large vanilla meringue topped with chocolate mousse and ice cream.

We sat in the patio behind the restaurant. There’s another large patio in the front. Inside is beautully decorated with fresh flowers everywhere. There is a children’s play area too. This is dog friendly as a couple was leaving with a dog leashed and in tow.

This restaurant was appalling! The entrecôte steak was inedible, when we complained about how bad it was to eat, we were told we should have ordered the fillet steak. What a waste of more than €70 euros for two steaks. How condescending and rude. To have a entrecôte steak on a menu that even the waiters/management say is inedible is beyond pathetic. The hamburger wasn’t very good either and you would probably get a better one at a McDonald’s, ridiculous. We were treated as if we were idiots by the staff and it made us quite uncomfortable. We were visiting our friends who live locally, they told us that they would never be coming back, how stupid for the management. We were very disappointed with this place would avoid this restaurant and go to Buffalo...

While visiting from the US we frequented this spot as we were staying nearby without a car. At first we were excited to have the options as the menu looked tasty. We then realized we were getting the cold shoulder from the head water every time we walked in, and witnessed him passing snide comments to his coworkers. If it weren't for the two waiters who were very helpful and pleasant we never would have felt comfortable enough going back the multiple times we did. You guys are ten steps away from the Budget Ibis Hotel, not the Ritz. How about you treat ALL your patrons with respect, regardless of how fluent they are in your language?
