McDonald's — Restaurant in Torcy

I recently had the opportunity to visit the McDonald's located at Centre Commercial Val D'Europe in Serris, France, and I must say that it was a satisfactory experience overall.

First and foremost, the location of this McDonald's is convenient as it is situated within the Centre Commercial Val D'Europe, making it easily accessible for shoppers and visitors in the area. The restaurant is located on Niveau 0, right next to La Grande Récrée, which is a great advantage for families with children looking for a quick bite to eat during their shopping trip.

The interior of the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has a comfortable seating area. The staff members were friendly and greeted me with a smile upon entering. The ordering process was efficient, with multiple cash registers available to handle the incoming orders, which helped to reduce waiting times. I appreciated the fact that the staff members were patient and willing to answer any questions I had about the menu options.

In terms of the food, McDonald's delivered what I expected: fast, convenient, and consistent fare. The menu offered a wide variety of options, from classic burgers and fries to salads and chicken sandwiches. The food was prepared quickly and was served hot and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the iconic Big Mac, which had that signature taste I've come to know and love. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left feeling satisfied.

Furthermore, the restaurant provided a clean and well-stocked condiment and beverage station, allowing me to customize my meal according to my preferences. The self-service drink refill system was a nice touch and made it easy to quench my thirst.

While the experience at this McDonald's was satisfactory, it is worth noting that as with any fast-food chain, the ambiance and quality of service may vary depending on the time of day and the number of customers. However, during my visit, I found the atmosphere to be pleasant and the service to be prompt and courteous.

Absolutely the worst McDonalds I have ever experienced! It was filthy, bins overflowing, flies everywhere. I had to wait 32 minutes for my food, yes, 32 minutes for fast food, and it was cold when I received it. I asked for a hot burger, and the server rolled her eyes, huffed, put her arms up in the air, and slammed down on the counter. At no point did she acknowledge me directly. I then waited a further 10 minutes or so, the rest of my food getting cold, before I got my burger. This vile member of staff (black, female, but, lucky for them, no name tag), ignores me two more times when I'm asking for my burger. I then speak to a manager, who looks far more stressed than he should, who seemingly ignores that I've just told him that his staff were rude to me. Anyway, the manager acknowledged the cold food, but not the rude member of staff I told him about. A further 4 minutes and he gives me a hot burger. However, the rest of my food is now cold!! Also, the vile worked then came to me, when I was eventually sat down and eating my meal, and squashed a hot burger into my arm to get my attention, instead of using her words. She actually poked me with a burger!!! The most disgusting restaurant treatment i have every experienced, and the worst McDonalds I have ever experienced. My autistic child left needing to calm and regulate. Thanks for that. Money well...

I visited the McDonald’s in Serris, near Paris, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing – especially from a vegan perspective.

I ordered a vegetarian wrap and specifically asked to remove the cheese and the sauce to make it vegan. Despite this, both the cheese and sauce were still included, and the wrap also clearly contained meat. The texture was fibrous like chicken and even smelled like it. As someone who has been vegetarian for several years and vegan for over a year, I know the difference. Luckily, I checked before eating – but this kind of mistake shouldn’t happen, especially when dietary instructions are clearly given.

Additionally, my drink cup (reusable plastic) still had visible lipstick stains from the previous user. That’s just unhygienic and honestly quite off-putting. The restaurant overall felt unclean, and the staff seemed stressed and unfriendly.

I do appreciate the effort to use reusable dishes, but hygiene has to come first. And above all, a vegan order should be handled carefully – especially in a city area visited by many tourists who rely on accurate ingredient information.

I truly hope this was a one-time incident, but I personally won’t be returning to McDonald’s for a while. If you’re vegan or have dietary restrictions, I highly recommend checking your food carefully...
