I went for a lunch super excited to try out for the first this restaurant. The atmosphere was excellent and the food was good but never made it to the main course.
Our waitress had very little engaging with us and at this point I am not sure if she did fully understood our requests. We ordered some drinks and some tapas and we let her know that we wanted the paella as a main course. She kindly let us know it needs around 30 mins to be done which was perfectly fine by us and by the time we would be done with our tapas it would work out fine time wise. The restaurant had maximum 4 groups of people the entire time.
We had to wait one hour after our tapas for the paella and since the rest of the food wasn’t coming we asked our waitress how much longer will it take and she said 15 extra mins. It was clear that our order hadn’t even started to get prepared at this point. We waited another 30 mins only to end up taking the paella as in a take out box because we needed to move on with our day.
Considering that a restaurant like this, at this location with certain prices it creates also certain standards that unfortunately cannot be met with an amateur service like that. My experience was very...
Read moreThe food here is great and very authentic. This is proper tapas in a beautiful setting, with large tables, a bubbly atmosphere and a nice aesthetic.
They have 2 locations.
Alexanderplatz seems to have a slightly smaller location and has a reduced menu with things like paella missing from the menu.
Kudamm is the larger of the two and has the bigger menu. It also has more seating and would be better suited to large groups. The black paella here is 100% on point and tastes amazing.
We ate at both restaurants in the same week and we were not disappointed. The food and the ingredients as a standard are very good and the staff are very helpful.
My top dishes:
Black paella, seafood paella with prawns, muscles and squid. In the menu this dish is described as "Paella De Arroz Negro Con Gambas"
Truffle patatas, this dish is so simple but it tastes incredible. It's basically just cubed chips with a fried egg and truffle oil, with jamon on top. These simple ingredients create an insanely good dish. On the menu this dish is described as " fried eggs with jamon iberico in a crispy potato nest with...
Nice tapas! Very tasty tapas. We ordered 4 different tapas and they were all nice! The drink was served efficiently right after the order. I like the sangria we ordered. It’s very easy to drink and it served well with the tapas that we tried. The restaurant serviced bread with garlic butter and olives as the appetizer which was quite tasty. My son loved it and so did we. We had tortilla, shrimps with garlics, hams with breads, deep fried potatoes and slow cooked pork cheeks. All of them are tasty. I like the sauce of the deep fried potatoes. It’s a little spicy. The potatoes were well made. The best I’ve tried so far. It matches well with the sauce. The ham wasn’t quite salty which is a health choice. I like the slow cooked pork cheeks a lot. It’s not dry at all. The sauce was mixed with mustard, I guess. It’s a good...
