Horrible dump
Went there after a dinner in the Mount Lavinia a couple of weeks ago, because it's right across the road from there. In fairness, it was quite dark, so at first I couldnt see the dirt stained sofas and actually sat down on one. I was served by a fattish middled aged woman who sounded German to me. She asked me very rude what I wanna drink and didn't make my friends and I feel welcome at all. The other customers were a bit strange too, they seemed like typical alcoholics to me. One guy came over and tried to chat us up. He couldn't even stand straight anymore, let alone speak. The glasses were very dirty, so I asked for a straw, which I didn't get. Not even after 20 minutes and having asked for it several times. When i went to the bathroom, the same drunk guy followed me and harrassed me, but none of the staff told him to leave me alone.
When i complained, I was laughed at!
Well, going abck to my seat, I realized what i was sitting on-a sofa sooo stained and dirty, you wouldn't even find that in an old man's attic!
The burger I unfortuantly had ordered with my drink was dry on the inside and greasy on the outside. It was probably microwaved-and well overprized. i couldn't bring myself to finish it.
The customers were all drunk and of mixed ethnic groups. But at least I got to see some irish travellers there-their clothes were worth a look, their behaviour wasn't...they were probably the advertised entertainment.
Altogether-NEVER again!!! Especially not as a group of girls. That is a bar which has train station level. When you are up to getting harrassed by drunk men and don't care about hygiene this is your...
Read moreWell, you see, I'm not sayin' that I've been everywhere and I've done everything. But I do know it's a pretty amazing planet we live on here, and a man would have to be some kinda fool to think he could find a better Pub in Nuremburg than the Kings Arms.
I walked in one Saturday and stumbled out on a Sunday. In that time I met Blokes from Perth, Brits from the midlands, Bundy drinkers from Brissie, American ex-pats, soldiers, sailors and in general the types of people who would get along well with Rick Blaine.
Located in the heart of scenic downtown Nuremberg this is a must not miss gem. If you are a weary traveler looking for comfort then the open arms of the Kings Arms will be a welcome site.
Bonus point is one of the barkeeps speaks pretty good English and can point you in the right direction for a good meal but whatever you do don’t ask to eat in the church next door.
Highly recommend. 10 out of 10. Can’t say enough good things about this place. If you disagree you are wrong and there are a couple grapplers there that can discuss it with you outside. Just go, you won’t be...
Read moreI was there with my girlfriend for a lunch and the atmosphere really made our day. The meal was kinda pricy but the portions are amazing and huge. I ordered the fish and chips and it was delicious, my gf got the vegan schnitzel and she enjoyed it as well. We also played some table pool which was a great addition to the already great atmosphere. The staff was also great and very friendly. Just really cannot complain. Would recommend and if we ever visit this city we’ll definitely pay this place a...
