Restaurant am Markt — Restaurant in Rhein-Mosel

We got "The Grill", the "Grilled Chicken" plates and some beers. The dishes were huge but the chicken one was completely salty, you couldn't actually eat it and when we tried to return it, the waitress reacted with lack of understandig. We friendly explained the situation but she was very unfriendly, unprofessional and argumented that "it's always like that". "The grill" plate had variety but did not taste special at all. In the end we got two free shots but we still had to pay for the chicken plate although we didn't eat the chicken and didn't get an apologise in any moment. The terrace is probably the best. Not bad for the price. Huge servings which is quite usual in germany. But not outstanding in any way. Nice oudoor seating places with a view on historical "markt". Toilets clean. We chose to eat outside because inside customers were smoking at the bar. I am not sure it is allowed but...

Wir sind mit 3 Personen nach einer Wanderung hier eingekehrt. Die Begrüßung war sehr kalt, man hatte den Eindruck nicht wirklich willkommen zu sein. Das Essen (Jägerschnitzel und Hawaii Schnitzel) war okay, die Portionen riesig. Der Salat war im Joghurtdressing ertränkt und schmeckte irgendwie nicht frisch. Geschmacklich passte der Pfirsich auf dem Hawaii Schnitzel überhaupt nicht zur Ananas und dem Käse. Die Jägersoße schmeckte nach Fertigprodukt. Die Schnitzel schmeckten frittiert. Es sollten hier besser kleinere Portionen aber dafür eine bessere und frischeren Qualität serviert werden. Im Sommer kann man evtl. draußen sitzen. Drinnen war es nicht wirklich gemütlich.
