This is a pleasant hotel with nice rooms that are fairly large and very well kept. The beds are comfortable and if you have a room on the river Leuk side you will be overlooking the most popular walk area in the entire city. The hotel is small but the service is excellent and the breakfast is second to none. A full served breakfast with everything you can imagine is served to you at your table including eggs, meats, fresh breads, yogurt, cake, fresh juice and on and on and on.||The restaurant which is part of the establishment is also very good with many choices with fresh river trout as one of their specialties. Seeing the trout fresh delivered in the morning was the kicker. The chef and his team do a fine job and their assistance in getting settled upon arrival was great. They work like a family and the place feels good like home.||The free wireless is a bonus as in many places in Europe it is still a pay service. WiFi reception was excellent in our room which was #2.||The only suggestion I would like to make is that the tables right in front of the hotel and directly below rooms #1 and #2 should be non smoking because if the room windows are open then you are treated with second hand smoke until the early hours of the morning when the last restaurant customers finally go home. ||Make that change and this place will be impeccable.||Will certainly stay here again if ever in this area....
Read moreStay away from this place if you want to be treated with respect. My parents have stayed in the hotel and had a great time. Since it was our anniversary, my wife and I decided to go for dinner there with our two chihuahua dogs. I asked the head waiter if we could bring our dogs in as it was raining outside. He told us that they were always happy to host dogs. He seemed like a friendly guy. However, once we had ordered and had our drinks, his attitude changed 180 degrees. He started barking that the dogs should be on the floor. When I tried to explain that they would start walking around, he told us that either the dogs should be on the floor or we should go. I said, fine, we're going. He then became very rude and told us that we had to pay. I wasn't going to pay anything if we weren't able to eat it. When I stood up and grabbed my jacket, he started shoving me, shouting that "I would die" if I wouldn't pay. I made a police report and advise anyone to stay far away...
Read moreWe booked a room for 3 nights, when we arrived we were shown to our room, the window was frosted. It was hot and when I opened the window I saw that we were about a meter from the wall of the next building, no air could circulate. I asked to change rooms and they said there were no others. we asked for a fan, they had none. we couldnt sleep, between the heat and the church bells outside the window. The same evening we booked a table for dinner at 7. we did not get seated until almost 8 even though there were free tables, we were a party of two and they were held for 3 or more. We said we were checking out in the morning and ended up paying 200 euros for one night. Ask where your room is...
