Demilmar — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

Seen this restaurant a few times on our stay here in Santorini and thought it looked nice place but it was never busy …and now we know why. We sat down and noticed a couple leave as we got there with food left on their plates within minutes there were 2 cats on the table eating the leftovers off their plates, When we ordered we both wanted to order the “beef steak” i asked the waiter what cut of steak was it, he said “it is cow” .He never asked how we would like it cooked and we had no idea what cut of steak we were getting. After a while he came with 2 very very well done T bone steaks which were revolting, they were more than 80% fat and was like chewing rubber, i told the waiter i would pay for our drinks and go elsewhere, when i was paying the drinks at the bar the chef came out in dirty clothes and told me there was nothing wrong with the steaks he had just eaten them and he didn’t understand what i was expecting. Wouldnt give this any stars if i could worst meal i have ever been presented with and the cats ontop of the tables eating food off the plates was absolutely disgusting. Would not recommend to my...

I'm giving this place two stars because of the service we received. The food and drinks and views were nice...but the staff...omg. First of all, the male server (think he was the manager) came to take our order and forgot to ask one of the girls at our table what they wanted so we had to call him back. Once we were ready to pay the bill, he had put an extra calamari on our bill and was expecting us to pay, even when the extra dish never even came to our table. He messed up when taking our order yet expected us to pay??? How is that correct. He then tried to guilt trip us saying "ok sorry I will just have to cover this out of my own pocket".....maybe try waiting around to take our order properly and you wouldn't have to fork out for your mistake. There were only 3 restaurants open so I selected this one and because I was on a tour with alot of people I expected slower service but there are a few things that made my experience not amazing. One was the guy smoking right next to me, second was when I was trying to ask the server what the vegetables were he couldn't answer the question and seemed rushed so I told him to just bring me rice well the rice was not good, it was cold. The chicken was delicious but the cost of €16 was a little crazy for the service and food portion. I had to ask 3 times for a drink refilled. I was disappointed as I could tell they were serving the larger tables. I would not recommend this restaurant if any others are open. Other wise give it a try you might love it.
