Scloubou's Tavern — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

We came on holiday to Zante last week and got recommended this restaurant by someone on the plane. It did not let us down! We ended up going for 2 meals and pudding on the last night. The Fraginia pudding is absolutely amazing, we have never had a pudding as good as that before. My husband absolutely loved the Kleftiko. The food is delicious, there is a lot of range. The location is nice and the atmosphere is lovely from the music to the service, it was a beautiful place to go on a date night with my husband. The prices are good, you get a good portion of food and the service is next to none. They don't do cocktails on the menu but I asked if one could be made and it did not disappoint! The food here was your typical Greek food. It was very flavourful and delicious olive oil. My partner ordered the pork shank which came as a big pork shank and some potatoes swimming in some oil. However, this was incredibly tasty food. He has a big appetite however this meal, even though it didn’t look like much beat him. The pork was incredibly tender and the potatoes in rosemary oil were beautiful. Even though it wasn’t the most picturesque it wins us over in taste. I ordered the mousakka which was incredibly tasty, flavourful and filling. We visited Scloubou’s Tavern twice during our stay, and both times we were greeted with a warm smile and truly outstanding service. One of the waiters had learned several phrases in many different languages and greeted guests accordingly—a fun and charming little detail that made us feel especially welcome.

The whole place runs like a well-oiled machine. The staff are perfectly in sync, the service is smooth and efficient, and food and drinks arrived quickly. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting—lush greenery, soft lighting, and a relaxed vibe.

The food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was packed with flavor, and the desserts were simply outstanding.
