This is one of the hidden gems of Bangalore. Nestled amidst the busy markets of Jayanagar, lies this quaint yet elegant all vegetarian milti cuisine restaurant that boasts of some of the most flavourful, hygienic and homely food one can find. A perfect family restaurant.
Located close to the Jayanagar metro station, Echak Danah ticks all the boxes. Spread across three floors, it has a reasonably long menu encompassing Indian, chaats and snacks and Chinese and oriental dishes- all vegetarian.
Amongst the multiple dishes we tried- one common denominator was the emphasis on keeping the flavours intact with use of best ingredients. We got to know that they source their paneer from Delhi and use desi ghee in all their curry preparations. And, these claims were evident from the sheer flavours that my taste buds enjoyed all throughout the meals. They have aced their recipes especially in the Indian and the chaat sections as I could really feel the feel and flavours of the quintessential North Indian food in place.
Recommended dishes here would be anything in paneer( I tried the paneer tikka masala which was smoky in taste, a delectable onion gravy coating the palate with luscious texture of paneer blending in perfectly), chaats ( tried the dahi puri which was an absolute flavour bomb and their amazing homemade ice creams( my pick was tender coconut 🥥👌🏼)
The service was very cordial and despite the busy hours, we got your dishes at reasonable speed.

Read moreMy recent visit to on a Sunday left me deeply disappointed. As someone who frequents various restaurants, I understand the challenges of peak hours. What made this experience particularly disheartening was the misleading information and disrespect we encountered.
Prior to our visit, I called the restaurant to ensure there was enough space. The person who answered the call assured us of availability, giving us hope for a great evening. However, upon arriving, the staff's demeanor was far from welcoming. They were visibly frustrated, and we were not the only ones affected, as two other groups shared our experience. When we mentioned our prior call, the staff dismissively told us to deal with the person we spoke to, demonstrating a lack of accountability.
In an attempt to resolve the situation, I called the number provided on Google, which had initially confirmed the availability of a table. Unfortunately, the person on the other end was equally uncooperative. This apparent dishonesty and unhelpful attitude were frustrating, making us feel undervalued as customers.
I hope this feedback prompts improvements in customer service and transparency, ensuring others don't face similar disappointing...
Read moreEchakh Danah is a darshini as well as a fine dine restaurant located in Jayanagar. The fine dine area is on the first floor of the same building. The ambiance is nice and clean. They have a variety of cuisines namely Indian, Chinese, Italian. The only issue we found was the ac was just blowing on our faces and made it really cold to handle.
We tried the Manchow soup. The soup was delicious and had the right amount of spices. The noodles were crisp. Next we had the Malai Broccoli. It came straight from the tandoor and was mild in taste because of the curd and cheese in it. Perfect for kids and people who cant handle spicy food. The broccoli dish was served with green chutney and salad on the sides.
Next came the Tandoori Stuffed Mushrooms. It had a stuffing of paneer and spinach and the taste was amazing. To quench the thirst we had the masala lemonade. Just the right balance between sweet, sour taste and masala. For the main course we tried the Hyderabadi Biryani to our surprise it was a pan tossed palao with spinach gravy. But the taste was great. It was served with raita. The aloo paratha though not the menu was good in taste. It was also served with curd.
Overall a delicious meal at...
