Not very sure what's the difference between 'The village' and the 'Grand village' but both are exactly the same, upto last detail. It's little difficult to locate and very easy to miss even when you are navigating through GPS. Well inside it's like festival, it's a themed based restaurant where you pay not just for food but for entire experience which includes folk dancing which includes you, puppet show, Mehndi & Ofcourse the food. You have stalls for welcome drink, chats, short eats (Pav bhaji & Bhajjis), maincourse, IceCream & Ice Gola. Food is good but chat section was a let down. Remaining things were very good except Chinese which was ok. Dessert section has 3 things but all packed a punch and the day ended with Kala khatta ice Gola, very strong performance without a doubt. Overall you are paying for the entire experience which is really worth it. Definetly visit here with a big group and this place will not let you down. Price – 8/10 Taste – 7/10 Service – 7/10 Ambience – 8/10 Value for money – 8/10 Will I go back – Absolutely

1. It's a fun place for eating and some entertaining activities, such as music & dance, puppet, wearing wigs, hats etc. You could also get a temporary tattoo or mehendi at extra cost. 2. It's on the 3rd floor, they do have the lift facility. 3. Pricing was reasonable. 4. Serves ONLY vegetarian food. 5. It's got friendly, service-oriented staff. While there were quite a few options for food, they could improve the taste. For some reason I felt my stomach full, even though I didn't have a lot. They had lassi, jeera drink as their welcome drink. Snacks like pani puri, bhel, kachori, samosa etc were available. We had Chinese food, Indian breads, pagoda, etc. Desserts consisted of jamun, jalebi, and ice cream. The ice cream sucked. We went for my niece's birthday celebration. There was another birthday celebrations underway, and they were having good fun. We joined them dancing and enjoying. Wasn't a bad evening, but the taste of the food could be better. 3.5/5 🌟

Had a great experience visiting village. We had gone as a group and I guess that is the best way to enjoy things that this place offers. We started with welcome drink and chat. At the outset it seemed like any other restaurant with ambience decorated as a Rajasthani or Gujarati village but soon realised that theme extended beyond just the food and ambience. The crew started off with Rajasthani folk dance and even tried to teach a few steps to us guests. Then we moved to playing daandiya, followed by a round of musical chair. The dinner buffet was good although limited in choices. Dinner was followed by a puppet show! Highly recommend the place for taking foreign guests for them to experience a "village" right here in Bangalore.

Grand Village Indeed

Tangy chaats, traditional dal fry and flavourful dum biryani are things which many restaurants serve. But there aren’t too many that serve these dishes in a rustic ambience. That’s what makes Grand Village so special. This veg restaurant that serves north & south Indian food & Chinese variants, has an unmistakable rustic charm. Waiters are dressed in mirror work costumes and colourful turbans. Nothing fancy yet so nicely done. Walls are dotted with lanterns and small buckets. What is interesting about this buffet is that each section has a village ambience. For instance, the refreshing drink at the beginning of the meal was served against the backdrop of something which looks like the village-well. It’s an unlimited buffet and we headed to the tangy-sweet chaat section, satisfied ourselves with sev puri & soft paav with bhaji. My you know, every dish of the main course was in an aluminum container and this was on a single burner stove…something you can find in a village household. Steel plates and tumblers were arranged in racks alongside (like in a village house). Lovely dal fry, not too thin and yet not too thick…the consistency was just right for the butter naan. Coming to the mutter paneer, it was peas in a flavourful gravy. We also tried the palak subzi, simple yet tasty. Baingan bharta added to the overall charm, the smoky flavor of Baingan with spices: great feeling. Veg biryani too was delightful. Crisp jalebise, soft hot jamuns completed the experience. This restaurant is less than two months old but people have already begun to notice it & for the right reasons. Village style is its USP & almost each corner has something to offer. A beauty parlour kind of ambience adorns one corner of the restaurant. Labels like Chaar Diware are other highlights. Some teenagers were celebrating the birthday of one of their friends. The waiters sportingly played kolatta (with sticks) with the teenagers. Grand Village: worth a...
