Lono is a Tropical / Hawaiian Island theme lounge located on 80 Feet Road in Indiranagar. Valet parking is available. I got a chance to visit this place last weekend with a bunch of foodie friends.
Green Tropical ambiance with seating options of indoor as well as outdoor. I would suggest sitting outside to experience the ambiance in the best possible way. The middle tables have a stream of flowing water in the plant infused tables. Calm and soothing ambiance, ideal for a late evening date.
The food menu has food items featuring continental and modern Indian cuisines with fewer options for vegetarian items and fewer options for desserts too.
The bar menu is also decent with the availability of all major choices. The LONO Special Cocktails have no information about the mixology, the staff is there to provide information about mixology on their smartphone but it should also be present on the regular menu card by default.
Now, let me give you insights into some Food and Beverage that I tried:
Cocktails:
Whiskey Sour: Well done with a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness.
Pinacolada: Taste was decent but the bitterness of rum overpowered the flavor of coconut and pineapple.
Appetizers:
Lemon Grilled Prawns: Served on a huge and heavy slab plate, they were fresh and tasty but would have been perfect if less salty.
Nachos Hill veg: They told that it's their specialty and I totally agree to it.
Chicken with Red Hot Chilly: This felt like desi Chinese, was over spicy for me.
Mango Chutney Roast Pork: A unique dish to order, it was difficult to tear the meat as it was very hard, but we gave it back to cut and re-cook. It was easy to eat then and tasted too good with the mango chutney.
Jalapeno Nuggets: They were so good. Well fried with perfect fillings giving a good cheesy and sour taste.
Steam Momos Chicken: Well steamed with fresh and tasty meat, great in taste.
Mains:
Nasi Goreng (Prawns): Sunnyside egg served on top of fried rice with pickled vegetables and satay prawns. Good in taste, really liked the combination.
Desserts:
Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream: The brownie was dry, would have been nice to get a chocolaty brownie.
Apple Pie: The outer covering felt cheap but the inside filling was good.
Coconut Pineapple Cream Tart: Disappointed me, coconut overpowered the tart completely.
Service was good and the staff was warm and courteous.
Prices and moderate and the good thing is they have ZOMATO GOLD on drinks.
OVERALL RATINGS:
Location: 5/5
Ambiance: 5/5
Food and Beverage: 4/5
Staff and Service: 4/5

AMBIANCE : Has both indoor and outdoor seating and also a tiny rooftop seating as well! The space on the outdoor has beautiful water themed, plants infused tables in the middle section with wooden planks and decors hanging on the ceiling. P.S : Place would be ideal for a late evening date! The indoor seating has AC and cute swing-like chairs where you can have a nice brunch at!
PARKING : Valet parking available.
REMEMBER : VEGETARIAN OPTIONS ARE VERY MINIMAL. But to be honest, what I ordered were an absolute delight! But bummer, we don't have many options to choose from.
Also, taking notes from my non-vegetarian friends, what stood out were : Nasi Goreang Prawns Steamed Chicken Momos ( RECOMMENDED )
WHAT I ORDERED :
LIIT (Long Island Iced Tea) : Blend of vodka and white rum, this is a favorite among the people visiting LONO and tasted GOOD!
Cranberry Cooler Mocktail : Loved the blend of kiwi and cranberry, might have been on a sweeter note, but was still good.
Bummer : For the Cocktails, you might want to ask the staff what is the mixology else there's no descriptive narrative in the menu.
Veg Nachos : Not the usual Nacho chips but the actual fried Nachos with great amount of Salsa on it! YUMM!
Jalapeno Nuggets : MUST TRY! Loved the little spice of the Jalapeno along with all the cheese, went well with my drink!
Paneer and Pineapple Barbecue : Just tried something from the barbecue side, was roasted well and tasted tangy!
Veggie Burrito Bowl : Loved how all the veggies was sliced up and served! Taste could've been improved.
DESSERTS :
Coconut Pineapple Cream Tart : Coconut was overpowering the tart, which should've been balanced.
Chocolate brownie with Vanilla Icecream : Loved the Gooey brownie and the simple vanilla icecream along with it.
Apple Pie : Everyone else loved it, but it didn't quite meet my expectations.
RECOMMENDED : VEG NACHOS JALAPENO NUGGETS STEAMED CHICKEN MOMOS
Also, the washrooms were quite creepy and not very well maintained ( probably a bad day for 'em eh? ) , we had a word with the staff and they said they'd look into it right away. Sitting in the outdoor did give us a teeny bit of a trouble with the flies, yet again the staff said that's also being taken care of.
Overall a very chill and nice place for a lovely evening...
Read moreYesterday marked my second visit to Lono, and it was fantastic. Accompanied by eight cousins, friends, and acquaintances, we had a great time. We snagged a spot at the swing table indoors—while the ambiance was appealing, sitting without a backrest for nearly three hours wasn't very comfortable. Lono offers a separate celebration area for booking birthday or anniversary events, and they even have a pet-friendly space. However, the evening lighting was a bit dim, making it challenging to capture good pictures without using flash.
The service was excellent, although the menu was scan-based, placing orders required calling the server. The location embraces a tropical and Hawaiian theme, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
Now onto the food and drinks—here's our rating:
Bar items:
Pitcher - Budweiser premium Mh - Bacardi rum Sky Hawaiian - 4/5 Wit mug - 4/5 Food items:
Pepper Chicken - 4.5/5: Juicy, crispy, well-balanced spices—though we expected it to be spicier, it paired wonderfully with the beer. Crispy Corn Chilli Pepper - 5/5: Remarkably crispy and tender corn with the perfect chatpata taste, unlike the soggy versions elsewhere. Supreme Chicken Nachos - 4.5/5: Delicious with a great blend of flavors, but we wished it was spicier. Pao de Quejó - 4/5: Juicy and crunchy veg cheese balls; vegetarians among us loved the balance of bell pepper and jalapeños. BBQ Chicken Pizza - 4.5/5: Tasty with large slices and apt cheese, though the tangy taste overshadowed the spice, which was a downside for me. Margarita Pizza and Verdure Pizza: The former was simple, as expected, while the latter surprised me. Despite not being a fan of veg dishes, this pizza's unique cheese made it irresistible, and I went for more than one slice. Twin Mushroom Cheese - 4.5/5: Enjoyed by the veggie lovers, even though I'm not a fan of mushrooms. Overall, Lono is a great place with fantastic food and ambiance, deserving a 4.5 rating. They even have a dance floor. However, my disappointment lies in the lack of a policy regarding kids—considering the drinking and constant smoking, some regulations should be in place. .
The price is a little on the higher end but the food knocks it off . It was around 8k but we got a 15% discount when paid...
