I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mooch Madod 📍 in Koramangala, and I must say it was quite an enjoyable experience. Located in the heart of the city, the restaurant exudes an inviting ambiance with a blend of vibrant colour and traditional dhaba style decor, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The first thing that struck me upon entering was the friendly and attentive staff. They greeted me with warm smiles and were quick to seat me at a comfortable table. The service throughout the time was impeccable, with the servers being knowledgeable about the menu and more than willing to offer recommendations based on individual preferences.
Now, let's talk about the food. Mooch Marod specializes in North Indian cuisine, and it truly delivers on the promise of authentic flavors. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, ranging from classic tandoori items like afgani chicken kebab, tangadi kebab to rich curries and the highlight is the emperor paratha available in both veg & nonveg options. This 24" paratha is good enough to share with 6 people and serve alongside their special mattha butter & curds. I ordered the signature aloo paneer paratha. Also, they recently started serving varieties of delicious Chinese sizzler combos and starters. I ordered the chicken momos which were served hot & stuffed with the fillings. The portion quantity is also up-to the mark.
In beverages, I tried their litchi lassi, masala chaas and both of these were totally refreshing.
The pricing at Mooch Marod is reasonable considering the quality and taste of the food. It is suitable for both casual dining and special occasions, making it a versatile choice for different occasions.
Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Mooch Marod. The excellent service, delightful North Indian dishes, and charming ambiance make it a great spot for a...

Desi dhaba ambiance with seating on floor, small bamboo chairs, white walls filled with customer love and creative feedbacks..!! That's some nostalgic feel as soon as you enter
Coming to food, they mainly serve parathas, lassi and chaach.. everything comes in 3 different sizes. Parathas have queen size, king size and emperor size..!! Queen size is equal to 2 or even 3 paratha you eat elsewhere..!! Similar goes to lassi and chaach..!! The emperor being a mini bucket full of it..!!
We ordered below dishes on our visit
Paneer pyaz paratha (cottage cheese onion) -- Queen size -- Tasty paratha for all paneer lovers. Served with raita, pickle and green chutney
Mooli Paratha -- Queen size -- judge if you want to, but usually it's one of my favourite Paratha and these guys didn't disappoint
Matar pyar paratha - MUST TRY -- King size -- paratha during your visit. Masala in every bite, filling done to perfection, balanced taste of everything added...!! The best and my most favourite Paratha. We didn't regret ordering a king size one
Mango lassi - appropriate for the season
Jeera chaach - MUST TRY - overwhelmed with parathas? Then go for emperor size chaach..!! Great in taste, perfect for digestion as well

Read moreMooch Marod is famous for its "Emperor" paratha, which weighs almost 2 kgs and is 24 inches wide. The preparation process itself is awe-inspiring. I visited this place for dinner. The seating arrangement is very homely, you gotta remove your footwear and enjoy the desi seating style on comfortable floor cushions with a low table.
I started the meals with 5 different types of Lassi, Mooch Marod Special Lassi, Kesar Pista Lassi, Gulkand Lassi, Rose Lassi and absolutely savored their Elaichi Lassi. I ordered the small from the menu and yet it was very fulfilling. The largest size of Lassi serving goest to 1 ltr. here. I had an "Aloo Gobhi Emperor Paratha", it was served with pickles, chilies, raita but the catch here was homemade butter (Makhan). It was absolutely delicious and complimented the Paratha well. This paratha is definitely impossible to finish for a single person, we were 7 people and still couldn't finish the entire paratha. Apart from this, I had a queen size "Matar Paneer Partha", it was lighter and more delicious. The buttermilk here was delicious and tasted right after the parathas. The jaggery served after meals complete a proper Punjabi dinner.
They have an open challenge for whoever can finish an emperor paratha and 1 ltr. lassi in 30 minutes would be rewarded Rs.3000/-, to date no one has won it. Do you have the right appetite to win this?
They have tried to create a small Punjab village in their interior, the seating here is very right after such meals. I shall try their other outlets for the non-veg parathas soon. This is a perfect place to come in...
