I visited this, so claimed to be authentic Italian restaurant, Pasta Street on a Sunday afternoon. It is one of their new outlets here in Bangalore and is a very well designed. The ambience is very cozy. It is sort of an interior crafted to host all kind of corporate, family, birthday and informal events/birthdays. It has outdoor seating as well. It is quiet and easy to hold conversations. The service was exquisite. Francis was my server and he was insanely patient and sweet. I took too much time to skim through the menu and place my order and my man was awaiting my call calmly. There is a live kitchen where you can spend time watching your dishes being made by the chef. Now, addressing the main point, food. In short, it is neither the best Italian food I've ever savoured not is it the worst. It was good. I had ordered the pesto cheese garlic bread, bruschetta con pollo, pesce Alla Griglia as appetizers. I was absolutely impressed by the pesto cheesy garlic bread and chicken based bruschetta, however, the pesce Alla Griglia which was a basa grilled fish with sauteed vegetables wasn't too great. You should definitely pass on it. Coming to the mains, I ordered 3 pasta dishes which go by the names chicken carbonara, bolognese di pollo and ricotta and spinach ravioli pastas. They also offer complimentary Italian breadsticks. As said earlier, I've had authentic Italian pasta dishes and these pasta dishes were just around good. All pasta are served with a slice of garlic bread on the side. The carbonara was creamy and of thick consistency with chicken bacon. It was the best dish out of all the three dishes. The ricotta and spinach ravioli was equally good. It is served with tangy tomato base sauce. The tanginess is balanced by the mild flavours of the the spinach and ravioli dough along with a hint of cheesy goodness of ricotta. The bolognese minced chicken based pasta was slightly on the drier side. You may considerably pass on it. The portion sizes were apt and would feed 2 easily. Overall, it is worth a visit for an experience and then on it is up to your will and opinion to revisit. They did levy a 10% service charge which I unhesitantly paid. The service was good...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Pasta Street in Sahakar Nagar and just like some of the other branches in Bangalore, this place has great food, ambience and service.
Coming to the location, it's on the main road which makes it easy to navigate to. There's parking at the premises so that you do not have to find a spot on the road. The restaurant is located on the first floor and the entrance is at the back of the building rather than the side facing the main street.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we were courteously greeted by the staff who asked us to pick any table that we liked. We were immediately provided with the menu and served with some water and complimentary breadsticks. Our waiter recommended some good appetizers, enquired about the preference about type of pizza and encouraged us to view the desserts section before making an order.
For starters, we ordered the veg calzone which came piping hot and with a side of some aioli. It was really well cooked and delicious. We also ordered the puglia paneer pizza with the Neapolitan crust which was quite good. For desserts we ordered Belgian chocolate cake with a side of gelato which was quite frankly one of the best desserts I've had in Bangalore.
Although on the pricier side, the experience at Pasta Street was really good. Our host, Gina, was very warm and welcoming. The food was great. The ambience was fantastic and the washrooms were clean. It's a good place to enjoy a nice and quiet dinner with family or...
