Don't get confused by the name, by spa they mean specially curated menu as per your needs, and taste. They have variety of menu items which includes Vegan, Alkaline and Gluten-free dishes. Not just like, I love the most about this restaurant is that they don't use any of the processed or canned food, even cheese is home made and raw(brown) sugar is used wherever required. If you are superfoods lover, then this place should be right at the top. Interiors: White colour walls along with glass facade gives this restaurant a bit of colonial touch. Pastel green on the doors completes the vintage yet modern ambience, besides they have different sections which serves to different purpose like special couple corner with outside view, small corporate party section, outside seating arrangements. We ordered: Vegan Betroot and Spinach Hummus-- They served this along with Roasted Khakras, My top pick for any day. Taste of this hummus was perfect and khakras were equally crisp. Betroot and Activated Charcoal lemonades: No, there were no colours added in any of the drinks. Even the activated charcoal is home made which helps in cleansing the body. Sweetness level is bit on a higher side for my taste. Thandai milkshake: One of the best thandai I had in this side of the country. Haldiram thandai coupled with finely grated almonds, kesar, milk and sugar. Highly recommend this drink. Spaghetti of Vegetables-- Spaghetti made out of vegetables, Super healthy dish which was equally inviting and tempting. Spices quantity was very nominal and still it tastes so finger licking good. They also added roasted khakras to add some crispy texture. Farmfresh Pizza-- Thin crust Pizza base was made up of Raagi without any maida which was the highlight. Thin crust base was crisp and the cheese was home made and fresh. There are a host of vegetables used as a topping on the base like broccoli, jalapenos, mushrooms and bellpeppers. Quinoa Pillaff Biryani-- Dont expect this dish to taste like your authentic biryani. This might disappoint you.Served Piping hot, and had a completely different taste than what you expect from a biryani in a good way.Personally I like the way it tastes. Masala Chai: Some things never go wrong, so was our masala tea. Bangalore rains got the best companion and I enjoyed it to the fullest. I would love to mention the way they served it in the Kette-cup. We asked for their home-made healthy cookies along with tea(from their retail section). Cottage Cheese Steak-- My second favourite from today's menu. Surrounded by mint chutney, Cottage Cheese was tender and delicious in taste. Love the presentation as well. Sweet potato Bake: How often did you had a baked sweet potato. That's what bring in an entire new texture to this dish and i like the way it tasted (toppedwith sour cream). Pan Seared Zucchini Kebab: These kebans were low calorie kebabs, filled with veggies and damn soft. Served with salad, greem chutney and mexican salsa. Believe me your taste buds will be satisfied after having these kebabs. Fruit and Nut Bhel: This would be my all time snack for any day. Bowl filled with fresh fruits coupled with seasonal fruits, makhanas and Nuts. Do i need to say more? For my sweet tooth, I tried Valhrona Chocolate pie: Mouth-watering and finger-licking dessert. Too chocolaty but pleasurable. Palm Jaggery and pure Coconut ice cream: Presentation was good and they prepare all their icecreams in house without any refined sugar.
They also have a book section for bookworms and kids play area for Mommies out there. Their Retail section includes healthy bajra, oat, ragi and other variety of cookies, flex seeds, etc.
P.S. They have a Pet-friendly seating/section too (I would suggest them to put 1 stump if someone wants to tie their pets).
Offers- No offers for now. I would recommend them to partner for Zomato Gold. No Valet parking, but there is ample space outside to park...
Read moreThis generation people are under the radiating spotlight for tending more and most craze for healthy appetite.Well, Who doesn’t love healthy lifestyle? Okay, most of us and for that, Healthy food is the most pivotal. Many of us ponder, including me if the food is healthful then its not gonna be tasty but Sante Spa has a whole different story. Sante is a French word stands for Healthy and Spa-a spot that therapeutically rejuvenates our body so the end result is they serves the healthy vegan cuisine which revives your soma.
This place is spread across two floors. The ground floor has Outdoor and Indoor settee that boasts an equally beautiful ambience as food donned in a rich white and pleasant green
Their Menu is diverse and different; at first glance, the Menu garnered attention as it is depicts every aspect in varicoloured papers. The Brown coloured is the complete menu, Green is Vegan and the Blue defines Alkaline one that made super-easy for visitors to choose and hooked in no time.
ACTIVATED CHARCOAL & COCONUT MILKSHAKE : Talking about this tropical moderately chilled Milkshake, it gives an absolute bop of activated charcoal and tender coconut milk sapor completely soothes your nerves that jamming to swig and swigs .On top of that, they proffers this drink to sip with a striking banana leaf straw which seems each single thing used is organic.
BEETROOT & SPINACH HUMMUS : This discerning palate make-up of mound swirls of Beet-root and spinach hummus accompanied by five circles of Multi-grained crispy Khakra amused us with its natural flickered tones and acerbic flavours poked with few crispy chick-peas and dressed with olive oil is somewhat newer for me and out of the ordinary in healthy way.
CRISP LETTUCE CUPS : We ordered these finger food merely to see how the cups of lettuce petals gonna be look but in lieu of cups it looks like a bite sized bowl filled with aromatic pineapple salsa seasoned with togarashi spices and topped with Lucerne sprouts is a one dish for all the vegan souls who anticipate for leafy greens. Make sure to feed as soon as it arrives otherwise, due to spices mix it drizzles some water while having it.
Being a Brobdingnagian Stan of seafood sushi lover, I don’t like Vegan Sushi’s at all but believe me, their Sushi’s are mind-boggling
SPICY CALIFORNIA URAMAKI ROLLS : These whimsical colourful Vegan Sushi’s gave a new make over to the spicy concept in Sushi making, rather than mixing spices with Sticky rice they swathed the Uramaki’s with appealing spices and black sesame seeds, rolled up with small cukes and asparagus in a nori and spruced up with zig-zag mayo, bell-pepper slices and a flower petal is definitely set to fill your heart with warm and mellow feeling.
Main Course : BAJRA RISO : To highlight yet another Masterpiece, this Greenish Italian Risotto in Desi avatar is a combination of Bajra flour, sprouted mung, corns, and spinach smarten up with Cherry tomatoes and a twig of basil is eminently salubrious. It was served in Wooden round dish and thus the colours of the dish enhances fully.
Our final addition as a DESSERT was
RED VELVET SMOOTHIE : This thick Red Velvette Smoothie is an intriguing pureed combination of glowing pink fruit and veggie such as strawberries, beet-roots with a hint of raspberry balsamic dressing layered with in-lined fresh slabs of beet-root, Almond flakes, toasted grated coconut and peeled sunflower seeds on top with a sprig of mint is salutary yummylicious and a head turner rendition of smoothie set sublimely in a closed jar. One more thing I would like to add, you need to have this dish via spoon.
Each and every staff member is discerning and hospitable serves copious portions of quality food with ecstatic food styling in good prices. This kind of food I would love to have everyday and we highly recommend this place to visit atleast once to try healthy...
Read moreAfter a successful innings in Pune and Mumbai, Santé Spa Cuisine has launched recently in Bangalore too, in Indiranagar. I was here recently to check the place out, with a bunch of foodie friends, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I must say this is an extremely beautiful place, with a welcoming, calming, warm ambience. Santé aspires to position itself as a fun family place, and the ambience is just right for the same. Soothing greenery everywhere, vintage-style furniture, ample natural light, a play area for kids, soft music, a reading nook, and lots of open space - that's Santé for you. I'm quite charmed by how pretty and natural this place feels, quite unlike the formal, usually dimly lit interiors of a fine-dining restaurant.
The place serves all-vegetarian food, prepared using local, fresh ingredients, with no refined flour or sugar, no preservatives, no bottled or packaged ingredients, no chemical additives. The intention is to give patrons a cleansing, rejuvenating, yet fun experience - a 'spa for the inside'. The menu is eclectic - a little Indian, a little Continental, a little Thai. There are several choices for everyone here, in beverages, appetisers, main course and desserts. No alcohol is served. I loved how special attention has been paid here to make dishes eco-friendly and healthy, like using green plantain-leaf straws for drinks and making pizza with oats and buckwheat flour instead of maida. Also, there are numerous Jain, vegan and gluten-free options available.
We tried out the Khakra Chips with their activated charcoal-based Black-And-White Hummus, and it was simply brilliant. The Roasted Garlic Mushrooms we sampled next were just lovely too. We also tried their bread basket, containing a selection of in-house healthy breads and lavash, served with assorted naturally flavoured butters, and loved these as well. We also opted for an Asian Quinoa & Raw Papaya Salad, which looked oh so pretty with microgreens grown in-house, finger-lickingly delicious too.
Among the beverages, we sampled the Pink Lemonade, made with beetroot juice, and Thandai Milkshake, made with almond milk. Both were absolutely lovely.
For main course, we opted for the Pizza Rosso, a pizza made with healthy flours, cheese made in-house, and interesting toppings like cranberries. This was a little sweet, but quite flavourful. We also had their Green Pizza, a vegan pizza made with cashew cheese, basil pesto and fenugreek microgreens. This felt a bit dry and flavourless to me, and didn't charm me the way the rest of the dishes did. The Thai Curried Vegetables we had post this was simply beautiful, the flavour of every single ingredient coming through beautifully. I loved that the vegetables were served with unpolished brown rice, much more nutritious than regular white rice.
For dessert, we chose the Pure Coconut & Palm Jaggery Ice Cream and the Salted Caramel Mud Cake. Both of these desserts, made with healthy flours and sweetening agents, tasted so very lovely! Both were very well done.
At the end of the meal, we were offered a little bowl of flax seeds rather than the regular saunf, which I thought was a brilliant touch. Speaking of which I should mention that I love the attention to detail here, the thought that has gone into every little thing here. I hope the same quality of food, the same efforts, and upkeep of the ambience is maintained in the times to come.
The service staff was courteous, helpful and friendly.
Prices here are on the higher side. A meal for two would cost you about Rs. 1800.
Overall, I loved all that Santé stands for, the place and the food we sampled here. I would definitely love to go back here, with family, to try out the various other interesting stuff...
