I was surprised by the rude behaviour of the staff when i went to enquire about banquet hall in SWAGATH in Chandanagar. The answers given by the person SHEKAR who is sitting in the reception were very rude and insulting. We wanted banquet hall for only 40 to 50 people and I was trying to ask him about food then he started advising to arrange at home in an insulting way. Then we wanted to check the hall and we were waiting for the lift. We saw five people coming out from the lift without mask. None of them were wearing masks. I was surprised and was asking my husband how come people here are not wearing mask. Then immediately this guy was answering me that its their own wish to wear mask or not. I was surprised by the stupid answer given by him when i didnt even asked him. How can SWAGATH assure the people safety during this pandemic when they are allowing the people to walk-in without masks? After seeing the hall we came back again to the reception to take the quotation. When we asked this guy SHEKAR in reception about the quotation then the answer he gave was ' First book the hall then i will the quotation'. It was very rude to answer a customer in this way. What does the quotation mean? Quotation will be taken initially and if we like the quotation then we will book the hall. I dont know why SWAGATH is encouraging these kind of people, that too in the reception with unpleasant face with rude behaviour. We really liked the hall and thought of booking. But just because of his behaviour we had to change our decision and we booked in SITARA. Hope SWAGATH will hire people with good communication skills and train them how to talk to...

The staff seemed inexperienced and unresponsive. It took an unusually long time for anyone to acknowledge our presence, and even longer to take our drink orders. We had to repeatedly request attention, which was frustrating.

Staff Experience (2/5): It was evident that the staff lacked the necessary experience to provide a pleasant dining experience. Our server seemed unfamiliar with the menu and struggled to answer basic questions about the dishes. This lack of knowledge made it challenging to make informed choices.

Pricing (2/5): One of the most disappointing aspects of our visit was the pricing of the starters. The prices were disproportionately high compared to the portion sizes and quality of the food. It felt like we were paying a premium for items that didn't live up to the cost.

Overall Experience (2/5): In summary, my visit to Swagat was marked by poor service, inexperienced staff, and overpriced starters. I left feeling dissatisfied and unlikely to return. I cannot recommend this establishment to others in its current state.
