They served authentic Tangra- Style Chinesefoods.The Cozy yet cute & beautiful place can accommodate 15-20 people at a time & you can also order from here via Zomato & swiggy. The main part is they don't charge for bottle of water, it's complimentary for all customers.Definitely love the quality, quantity and reasonable pricing of their foods. Apart from serving mouth-watering good food, the place will also leave in awe with its elegant atmosphere and quick service. . ▪️Pocket Pinch 600/- for two▪️ ▪️Foods: So, We tried there: Soup Blu Orchid Special Mixed Soup Starter Prawn Chips Pan Fried Chicken Momos Kung Pao Fish Main Course Chicken Chilli Garlic Fried Rice Mixed Cantonese Noodle Chicken in Chilli Oyester Sauce Schezwan Prawn Dessert Darsaan With Vanilla Ice Cream . ▪️Blu Orchid Special Mixed Soup: It was fixed soup which contains Chicken, mushrooms, eggs and a lot of veggies. ▪️Pan Fried Chicken Momos: There is literally nothing which can replace a plate of steaming hot momo with spicy chutney. N-O-T-H-I-N-G! Momo's were served with fiery Sikkimese tomato chutney. Stuffing was so delicious. Every bite was a flavour of bomb of exotic flavours. ▪️Kung Pao Fish: Kung Pao Fish was so classic flavour with it's sweet, tangy, & salty BBQ sauce. The coating of the fishes were crispy & Coated in a blend of spices, rich in flavour & perfectly fried & tossed in spicy, tangy- sweet sauce. ▪️Chicken Chilli Garlic Fried Rice: This Chicken Rice consists of eggs, Chicken pieces, carrots, grean beans. The blend of rice, chicken & egg is an unbeatable delicious. ▪️Mixed Cantonese Noodle: loved the texture and the different flavors of these noodles where crunchy vegetables meet sweet-tangy sauces and create this lip-smacking dish. ▪️Chicken in Chilli Oyester Sauce: Chicken in Chilli Oyester Sauce is a popular Indo-Chinese dish. Thin pieces of pan-fried boneless chicken are coated in a savoury sauce and then tossed in with some green chilies and ginger slices, and cooked with Chilli Oyester Sauce. A nice side dish that you can eat nicely with noodles or rice. ▪️Schezwan Prawn: Schezwan Prawn is a lip-smacking Chinese starter and is loved by people of all age groups. 🔶Blu orchid is a cute cozy place where the authentic chinese dishes will surely satisfy all your Chinese cravings. The place was really small and can accommodate not more than 25+ people at once. But this place had lot to offer in terms of chinese dishes. Blu orchid is opened their door just before durga puja and its located at - 19/1 panditya road near citi style , Gariahat.

They follow all the safety precautions during this covid 19 period - Thermal checking done before entering. Done sanitization process before settle down. All their staff are wearing masks and gloves.

Now coming to the food which we had -

✴️ Chicken Fried Wonton - I don't usually order wonton but as they are serving the authentic Chinese dishes so that we thought to give it a try and i must say it was a correct decission. It was really crunchy and flavorful. But i feel it was a bit saltier.

✴️ Mushroom Salt N Pepper - Mushrooms are my bae and I'm in love with them. It was really nice , a bit spicy and the texture was perfect.

✴️ Golden Fried Prawn - Oh my goodness! I just can't forget the freshness of those huge flavorful prawns. This dish was just mind blowing and perfectly cooked. Comes with six succulent pieces of prawns served with ketchup. Highly recommended one.

Now let's move on to the main course

✴️ Mixed Fried Rice - Hands down for the quality and the quantity. Both are really commendble. That Fried rice was filled with prawns, chicken and eggs and tastes absolutely delicious.

✴️ Hunan Fish - to complement the fried rice we had ordered this. I always prefer chilli fish rather than hunan fish cause i love the flavour of hunan sauce which is made of rice wine vinegar, sugar, chili paste , oyster and soy sauce. Recommended one.

Overall the place was small and definitely not a fancy one but they serve one of the delicious chinese dishes so far in town. So, i will definitely suggest you guys to hop on and try their authentic chinese. The service and the staff behaviour was also top notch. No complaint at all from my side..

🙋‍♀️Location: Blu Orchid is a Chinese Cuisine restaurant located near Triangular Park in south Kolkata, some 10 mins walking distance from Gariahat more and 2 mins walking distance from Triangular Park bus stop towards Panditiya road.

🙋‍♀️Ambiance/Safety Measure- It’s a full AC Restaurant having sitting capacity of 30+ people. At the entrance there is thermal check, hand sanitizing and spray. One more noticeable thing is that the chairs as well as the tables our bags are sprayed with liquid alcohol which really gave me the confidence to visit this place and dine in with my family.

🙋‍♀️Food:-

⭐Crispy Chilli Baby Corn- Contained a handful amount of baby corn fried and dipped in chilli sauce. It was lip smacking and my all time favorite dish.

⭐Prawn Chips – First time tried this item. It’s a specialty here. Served in a case and steaming hot. Contained around 10 pieces and had the smell and taste of prawn when you give a bite. It was supplemented with spicy mayonnaise dip.

⭐Mixed Fried Rice- Its one of the best and highly recommended. Contained loads of chicken, egg and above all prawns. It is prevalent from the picture. And the quantity is more than sufficient for 2 people.

⭐Lemon Prawn- well this preparation I tried for the very time in prawns under mains. I had earlier tried the lemon chicken but this is by far the best and really suited the taste buds. He taste is sweet with white gravy and very decent sized prawns ( 8 no’s). The prawn wee very well cleaned and was fresh.

⭐Darsaan Tried with Ice cream vanilla 2 scoops.

⭐Verdict: Overall very much satisfied by the taste and quality and above all the reason ability of prices.

1. Hunan chicken contained 8 pieces of chicken in red gravy, preparation taste wise is medium to less spicy, however you can also ask to make it more spicy if you want. the taste and preparation was very good. its a new dish which i tried and really enjoyed with fried rice.

2. Garlic chicken is available in both red and white gravy. I tried the white gravy preparation. its was sweet in taste and had 8 pieces of chicken . the dish and gravy was very tasty and really enjoyed.
