What a lovely place this is. The ambiance is wow; Breath-taking beauty. As soon as you enter the place, you will be altogether into a different world. Even before ordering the food, it may not be a surprise if you have planned to give the place a perfect five. The ambiance is one thing that will surely make your day and will leave you mesmerizing. They have left no stone unturned in making the place a beautiful one. With the classic movie’s posters, every wall of the restaurant is picturesque. The swings added the extra charm to the ambiance. A decent bar right in front of your eyes is also decorated nicely. A small and compact place with full of antique ambiance. Be it hanging lights through the kadai or the bucket, or different movie’s posters on the wall, this place has put an extra effort to create a cozy and vibrant atmosphere. With Bollywood music back dropping your ears, this is going to be one of the most loved places very soon. A recently opened restaurant has done everything correct till now, and I hope they have the potential to go far. With other outlets of Angrezi Dhaba already functioning nicely, I am pretty sure this place will also make its base.

Coming to what we had ordered. The food is good but with little disappointment. The drinks deserve all the praise. All the drinks we ordered were without any flaws, and I must say the bartender did a nice work while playing with the drinks.
Mango Coconut Punch: A mango based mocktail. With coconut syrup, the flavour becomes awesome. A perfect mocktail to start with. Rich in mango pulp, the mocktail deserves thumps up. A highly recommended mocktail if you love to try mango flavour.
Fruit Punch: A mixology of various fruit’s syrup. A mix of strawberry, orange, mango, and pineapple juice with a higher hint of strawberry. Perfectly blended with fresh cream and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Another delight from the mocktail section.
TUFANI: A rum-based cocktail that will set you asking for more. A dark rum-based cocktail, bitter in taste due to the addition of Angostura. Mixed with Indian spices along with the Angostura, this drink is high on the bitter side. A dark but not to be missed cocktail.

After a perfect start with drinks, we moved to appetizer section. It was good but a bit disappointing. We tried various appetizers.
Pahadi Aloo Chaat: A let down at the beginning itself. A proper chaat feel but missed the basic essence. The boiled and fried potatoes pieces were topped with Sev along with mint and coriander chutney. Other ingredients too failed to bring any delight to this dish.
Pav Bhaji and Cheese Fondue: A definite try. A pure pav bhaji feel comes with a fondue version. The picturesque presentation added the charm to the pav bhaji fondue. The buttered pav served with bhaji was delicious. The amount of cheese over the bhaji was perfect. Overall, a must-try dish.
Mac and Cheese Balls: deep-fried into the oil, the mac and cheese balls were delicious. Missed the masala essence. However, the spicy masala cheesy dip did well to go with the cheese balls.
Tandoori Chicken Crostini: A preparation of olive oil. Minced pieces of chicken tandoori were mixed perfectly with basil, bell pepper, tomato, and olives and served over the soft and crunchy crostini. A bit on the spicier side recommended if you like spicy food.
Moroccan Skewers: If you love fish and love skewers too, you are not supposed to miss this combination. The fish nicely marinated with olive oil, paprika, pepper, clove, and cinnamon was grilled to the perfection. The fish was very soft and delicious. Served with yogurt dip, the skewers were awesome.
The desserts have various options. We tried rabdi, Gulab jamun Triffle, and...
Read moreBrimming with elegance, 'Angrezi Dhaba' is the archetype of the modern fine dine restaurant. The ambience of the place gracefully features an enticing décor and a great vibe. The ability to serve mouthwatering food along with an aura of positive energy and the crew members are the apotheosis of the restaurant.
The food they serve is an epitome of everything that is right with the North Indian Cuisine. The menu also highlights plenty of dishes from continental and oriental cuisines.
The service is prompt and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our host was Mr. Aditya Shah who did a great job. Most of dishes that we ordered were suggested by him. The average order time is around 20 to 25 minutes per dish.
Appetizers We ordered "Crab lollypop", " Mexican golgappa" and "Chicken tikka fondue". Starting off with the lollypops, great job done by the chef! It tasted amazing with the hot chilli sauce. The portion size too, is quite good (6 pieces). Moving on to the Mexican golpappa, the grilled prawns inside were kinda dry. Although, in terms of overall taste, the dish tasted pretty good having the perfect combination of Salsa's tanginess and the characteristic flavour that sour cream brings in. The fondue was absolutely delectable. It was basically chunks of fried chicken served with a bowl of cheese and tikka masala.
Mains For main course, we ordered "Murgh Shahajahani" with Butter naan. The shahajahani gravy had a lovely aroma and tastes like heaven with butter naan. The chicken pieces were so soft and juicy, totally sealed the deal for us. The portion size is amazing, a full portion should suffice three to four people. Likewise, half will be more than enough for 2-3 people with a decent appetite.
Cocktails The bar menu is perfectly tailored with a wide spectrum of cocktails, mocktails and other top rated spirits. We had "Gas Explosion" and "Mumbai Addiction". The former one is a Tequila based cocktail with a combination of peach syrup, cranberry and orange juice and sweet and sour cocktail mixes. In terms of alcohol strength, it is on the stronger side and it tastes pretty amazing. The latter one is a Vodka based cocktail with the perfect blend of cranberry juice and kafir lime zest along with sweet and sour cocktail mixes. It has an amazing aftertaste and in terms of alcohol strength, it is moderately strong. The presentation of these cocktails is very impressive, superb job done by the bartender.
Desserts The dessert menu features some of the most attractive desserts, both Indian and continental. "Gulab Jamun Trifle" : A combination of Gulab Jamun with layers of whipped cream and chocolate, it is one of the prettiest sugarfix I've had in a long time. "Chocolate overload" : It is loaded with whipped cream, white chocolate, gems and chocolate syrup. Tastewise, it is pretty okayish.

Read moreHaving heard and read great reviews from many, Angrezi Dhaba was on my to-visit list for a while, and today for lunch I ticked off that box. With Zomato Gold on drinks, we started off with two cocktails, Mumbai Addiction and Woodoo. The latter was the first to be served, rum with sweet and sour mix, and we opted for two different flavours, Green Apple and Passion Fruit. Both were excellent, more sour than sweet, and I liked the green apple flavour more, highly recommend it. Our first starter was Taco Lime Chicken, the name being misleading, since the meat was served on skewers. The chicken was slightly burnt, just enough to add that feel good taste, while the accompanying dip was really yummy. As we were finishing off the chicken our other cocktail arrived, Mumbai Addiction. A vodka based concoction with cranberry juice, it was on the sweeter side, and felt a bit fruity, not that the taste was bad, but wasn't strong enough as a cocktail. Our second starter was Prawns Dangar, a Goan preparation of prawns served in cutlet form. I found it to be above average, could've been a little spicier, and was surprisingly not oily considering it's deep fried. Up next was a quirky preparation named Banarasi Murgh Pan Masala. Grilled chicken wrapped in betel leaves, it made for an interesting presentation, though taste wise there wasn't much to write about, with the meat having a regular tandoori flavour. It's nice to try as a one off, I probably won't repeat it again. Our third cocktail was Tall & Handsome, a mix of rum, brandy, gin, red wine and almond syrup. It turned out to be a dud, having no particular flavour, I almost didn't know what I was drinking. For the mains we opted for Murgh Shahajahani with Butter Roti, and some Old Monk to wash down the food. The roti was beautiful, soft without being rubbery, and the chicken was tender, the red chilli gravy was appropriately spicy, and very tasty, though it had too much oil, even by restaurant standards, so not the healthiest of options. We ended our innings with a dessert recommended by the staff, Gulab Jamun Triffle, and boy was it amazing. The Bengali delicacy was served with vanilla and chocolate sauce, it turned out to be the highlight of our meal, it's a must have in my opinion. To sum up then, Angrezi Dhaba should be on your bucket list. It ticks most boxes, be it food or drinks, doesn't burn a big hole in your pocket, the portion sizes are decent, the staff is courteous, there's really not much to complain about. I'll come back here for sure, especially for the Gulab Jamun Triffle, it's a sin to...
