AVOID THIS PLACE! I wish there was a way to give them a lower rating. I went there yesterday with 2 of my family members and the service was absolutely PATHETIC. That too is an understatement. I had gone there previously when it had just newly opened with a friend of mine and the service was really bad back then too but did not make much of it since the food compensated for the horrible service. This time around they really went up a notch in terms of disastrous service. I would say it was downright disrespectful and appalling. When we got there we were seated at a table right by the bar which was indoors. It was not crowded at all. Only two tables were occupied. The waiter assigned to us was busy at the bar calculating something. Despite numerous calls to take our order, the waiter assigned to us and all the other waiters passing by just ignored us. After many attempts I signalled the manager (a man in a white shirt who was in charge) who was also at the bar and asked him if he was the manager. He made eye contact and then completely ignored me. In an ideal situation when a diner signals the manager or the person in charge, they would come up to the table and ask what the concern is. If the manager is unable to then he would ask a waiter nearby to attend to the table. This manager completely ignored us. We waited for a good 20 mins. No water. Nobody came to take our order. Absolutely nothing. At this point we were feeling very disrespected and angry. We decided to leave. Just when we are about to go the assigned waiter comes to our table. We told him we had been waiting for so long and nobody had the courtesy to even serve us water. He was standing right next to us by the bar but made no attempt to even look our way. I told him that I had brought my family members although their service was really bad the first time. Which in hindsight was my mistake. I shouldn’t have suggested this place to begin with. I thought every restaurant deserves another chance but I guess some restaurants are just terrible from the get go. The waiter apologised but took no accountability for anything. I understand he’s not the manager and was probably just a waiter at a lower level but even the manager just watched me complain. As a manager he didn’t intervene nor inquire nor pacify the situation. In fact the servers and waiters at the bar who were watching all of this were just laughing. Truly a horrible experience. I would never go back to this place again and I would strongly urge everyone to not go there either. A note to the management; Do better. This is not how you run a restaurant. Treat diners with respect. These are people who are willing to pay their hard earned money to help you run...
Read moreLocated in a lane close to Lower Oshiwara metro station, I ended up visiting this Mexican restaurant in a spontaneous way.
The restaurant has an outdoor and indoor seating section and there's a small roof top section which I didn't explore. The ambiance of the place closely matches the Mexican vibes while it can seat people of all group sizes. At the very end of my meal, i saw they had kept board games as well! While the music playing in the background had good selection of western songs and not something the ones popularly played on Instagram reels these days, which is the case with certain restaurants.
The staff experience is good. Viraj was the one who assisted for the night, he was good at explaining the menu as well as mocktails. The dishes were handed out in a timely manner and nothing felt rushed.
Coming to the food, we ordered: Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla: There was a good quantity of chicken filling, whereas the tortilla was grilled perfectly. It's a bit on the sweeter side but overall I liked it. Fries on the side were a big bonus.
Chicken and Mushroom Buritto: This was Buritto wrap with chicken and mushroom in creamy sauce with rice served on the side. The cream sauce tasted really good while the Buritto wrap had a good quantity of chicken and mushroom. The quantity of ingredients was perfect which made it enjoyable. Rice was more Indianized and could have kept it less moist to make it more close to the original.
Empanada: It was the chicken and cheese empanda but this one was the weakest of all. The fried dough was crisp but hardly any filling inside it, while being provided with mayo on the side, it didn't go well!
We also ordered a couple of mocktails, Miami vice which was a mixture of pineapple juice and some thing else which I don't remember, the coconut flavour in it elavated the drink. I went for fresh watermelon with basil leaves something.. and it was refreshing!
Overall a great experience, would definitely visit it again in the future!
Just a small note to the chef's/management: Please look to introduce tres leches in desserts given its a...
Read moreWe pulled up to Mi Casa Su Casa Café in Andheri, and lemme tell you—this spot had me feelin’ like I just walked into a Mexican daydream with a side of espresso!
Now hold up… when we first got in, the place was semi full, and I ain’t talkin’ about just the seats—I’m talkin’ good energy, casual vibes, people vibin’ and sippin’. They sat us in the middle at first, right? Nothing wrong with that, but here’s where they hit us with that customer service clutch play—staff came through and said, “Yo, give us 10, we got you a cozy corner comin’ up!” Ten minutes later? Boom. Corner seat secured. That’s how you show love to your people.
The real kicker? This spot got a Mexican restaurant AND a café under one roof—two different menus, like a flavor tag team just waitin’ to body slam your taste buds! We had booked the café side, keepin’ it chill with conversations smoother than a vanilla frappe on a summer day.
Now let’s talk sips—coffees, teas, shakes… ENERGY ON DECK! Every drink came correct. No watery nonsense, no sugar overload. Just that rich, full-bodied pick-me-up that makes you wanna start a podcast or write a book or call your ex and say “I forgive you.” Nah, for real—the drinks were THAT GOOD.
Ambience? Mad cozy. That corner booth hit different. Soft lighting, chill music, you could talk, laugh, vibe… not once did it feel rushed or loud. Just smooth like crema on a perfect espresso.
Final verdict? Mi Casa Su Casa Café is that low-key, under-the-radar gem that serves up warm vibes and cool drinks. Great service, cozy ambiance, and a thoughtful setup that makes you feel like your time matters. I’m givin’ it a solid 4.5 outta 5—only reason it ain’t a full five is ‘cause I didn’t get to try the Mexican side yet, and you KNOW I gotta judge the full house before I hand out the crown.
But yo… I’m comin’ back. And next time? Tacos AND a latte. Stay...
