Visited this newly opened place few weeks ago with Friends.
This place spans over 3 floors where ground floor have both AC & Non AC section, Then their is an AC section on first floor and second floor is Kitchen. They are planning to start Rooftop also above that.
Even though it was a week day the place was almost full.
It's a huge place and one of a kind in this locality. The seating arrangement is spacious, Though we set inside, The outdoor seating arrangement looks more vibrant. So no more need for travelling to Kandivali, Malad & Beyond.
Overall feel of this place is superb and the way they have setup their restaurant gives you a feel of a place where you should go with your party shoes ON. They have live sports screening on the outside too. There's a lift too for older people if you decide to go with family.
Enough about the place, Let's move on to the food. We started with "Burnt Garlic Soup", Which was filled with right flavors and tested amazing. Which sets you in a mood for Good evening.
From their "Chaat Chatpata" section in Menu, We ordered "Mexican Nachos Chaat" & "Masala Khichiya Papad". Mexican Nachos Chaat was definitely one of the best Nachos dish i tried. Masala Khichiya Papad which we opted for roasted one was equally good. Must try this two to go with your drinks.
Coming to drinks, They are yet to start serving alcohol(Don't know if they have started already or not :P). So we tried their Mocktails. From what we tried i loved "Salty Koko", "Spicy Melon" & "Italian Kick". "Times Square Power" & "Guava Beach" were a bit too sweet on which we provided our feedback as well, Which was taken positively by staff.
My suggestion in Mocktails would be to go for "Salty Koko" & "Italian Kick".
Moving on to Continental Starters, We had "Mexican Cheesy Veg", "Corn Cheese Ball with Spicy Tomato Sauce" & "Red & Yellow Bruschetta".
Mexican Cheesy Veg - It is a delight for Cheese Lovers, Absolutely delicious.
Corn Cheese Ball with Spicy tomato sauce was also great, But i didn't like the taste of the Tomato Sauce much.
Red & Yellow Bruschetta was also well prepared, But loved the other two dishes more.
After this we tried "Basket On Fire", Where they melt cheese on the table with flame. This one is filled with Spicy Paneer, Pepper, Corn & Red Beans and topped with cheese (Which is melted later :P). The presentation is like a Basket in which all this is stuffed. Unique and amazing dish.
Now for Pizza lovers - Do try their "Chef's Choice Pizza", Which is Manchurian Bread with toppings on assorted papers, Mozzarella & Cheese. Yummiest pizza from their menu and again Cheese lovers. I do think i would have loved the "Pav Bhaji Pizza" as well but since we already ordered for Pav Bhaji Platter didn't order that one.
Coming to our last food item which was "Pav Bhaji Platter 1" which includes three different types of Bhajis. One is normal, Second is Black Pavbhaji and third one is based on "Palak Paneer". Didn't liked third one much as Palak is not something i enjoy much. But remaining two were great. If you love Chinese you can go for their 2nd Pavbhaji platter.
After having all these, We were all quite full so couldn't get our hands on their Indian Mains. So it was time for some Desserts.
In desserts, we had "Chocolate Ganasha", "Chocolate Walnut Brownie" & "Strawberry Forest". To my surprise i loved the Strawberry Forest more despite being chocolate lover and not a fan of Strawberry.
This one had a layer which almost tasted like Rusgullas, So do try this.
Other two were good, But not that good. Chocolate lovers can go for Chocolate Walnut Brownie. It would definitely taste great with some Vanilla Icecream.
Overall i totally loved this place, It's ambiance and good Music. Later in the night they switched to EDM's which was fantastic. Will have to visit once their Bar is fully operational.
All the staff members were superb, Service was fast and absolutely delicious food was provided. A big kudos to their Chef "Manoj" for creating such...
Read moreFoodies do travel to places in search of good food and nice places to eat! Some may agree, some may not! I do travel places. Timess Square is a new place alert, opened at Link Road, Borivali West, next to Eskay Resort.
The restaurant has come up in place of The Warehouse Kitchen. Space is always the biggest constraint in our city. But when you visit Timess Sqaure, feels like it's spread over an acre of land! Timess Sqaure sports 3 different sections. As soon as you enter, there is an indoor seating section where there is a bar and DJ console. You go further in, there is an outdoor seating section. I believe this will be the only restaurant in Mumbai which sports an amphitheatre type of seating. They will be screening all the sporting events as and when they happen. They also have a stage where Live Performances are planned in due course. The thrift section is on Level 1 where they have a family restaurant setup. Large tables to accomodate large groups. And can you believe this now, Level 2 is where they have their kitchen! Imagine a restaurant which has dedicated so much space to kitchen, is just fantastic!
And this reflects in the variety of dishes they offer. So there is Indian, Continental, Burmese, Fusion, Mexican, Chaat and Indian Street Food, Middle Eastern, Italian... You name it and they have it! Such an extensive menu, one just keeps on turning pages and amaze at the varieties they offer!
Talking about the food tried at Timess Sqaure -
We started with Spaghetti & Paneer Ball Soup! A chef special and recommendation! Clear Soup, Veggies, Spaghetti Noodles and Paneer Ball! Loved this soup and will highly recommend this!
Next from the appetizers had Basket on Fire! It's in their FIFO (first in first out) section of the menu! Mexican Spicy Paneer and Pepper, Corn and Red Beans along with cheese stuffing in a bread basket! The server then takes a fire lighter and lights up the basket! This gives a nice smokey flavour to this dish! A visually appealing dish! Taste wise can be better.
To go with food, ordered for few mocktails - Mango Mule, Salty Koko, Guava Beach and Coke Swim on Pineapple. Mango Mule has fresh cucumber juice, mango juice, honey and Ginger ale. Tastes more or less like the mango drinks. Salty Koko, which is my pick of the lot is fresh mint, Kokum and glass rimmed with Rock Salt. Guava Beach is creamy - mix of guava juice and peach puree! Coke Swim with Pineapple, is as the name suggests!
After this we tried the Pav Bhaji Platter - 1 where you get 3 types of different Bhaji with Pav! First is the regular Pav Bhaji, second is the Black Bhaji which is activated charcoal and third is Palak Paneer! Yummy and a must have Platter! We were also recommended to try Pav Bhaji Platter - 2, which has Chinese Bhaji, Manchurian Bhaji and Pizza Bhaji! Depending on your taste and preferences, do order for the platter for sure! You will not be disappointed.
Post the platter, we tried one Continental Starter - Corn Cheese Ball with Spicy Tomato Sauce! Served in cutting chai glasses, every Corn Cheese Ball was dipped in Spicy Tomato Sauce in the glass. Beautifully presented dish which had flags of Timess Sqaure on every glass. Good in taste as well!
Moving to the mains we tried the Basket Mexican Rice! Rice served along with cheese, vegetables, mexican spicy sauce and nachos (tortilla chips) I personally loved the rice! Quite filling and amazing in taste! Highly recommended to try with Mexican sauce!
Finally for desserts, we tried Gulab Jamun Pastry and Chocolate Walnut Brownie with Vanilla Ice-cream! Of the 2 I loved the pastry, very unique, retains the flavour of gulab jamun! Must try this unique experience.
All-in-all, Timess Square is a must visit place with your friends and family! And with the kind of activities they plan to do as mentioned above, you will have more reasons besides the amazing food and variety of food at Timess Square!
P.s. I think it's named aptly - Timess Square because of all different types of cuisine...

We recently came across this place called TIMESS SQUARE which is located on Link Road in Borivali West near eskay resorts which is located around 10 mins away from Borivali Railway Station. The restaurant has a very different and great ambiance filled with lights and it also has a very beautiful seating arrangement wherein the restro has 3 floors whereby the entire villa type house is set for people to have meals.
