If there is a restaurant replacing Farzi Cafe, it better be perfect and that's what Younion totally is! Newly opened, this place has a refreshing and abstract theme with the entire section being divided into three parts, the pub, the jungle and the flamingo. Each section has a different vibe and a different ambience. It is a whole new abstract theme with millennial props and decor. If the bright pink and the rustic jungle vibe doesn't bowl you over then their extensive and exquisite bar and shots menu surely will! They have curated more than 200 different kinds of shots for every taste and palate!
We started with the Chana Koliwada. This one was essentially Chakna to go along with the variety of shots that we had ordered. Chickpeas were boiled to the point where they had a soft and corn-like texture and were covered with a crispy coat and flavored with lemon and garlic. It was high on spices and brilliant as far as the texture was concerned.
It was just then, when we tried a number of their shots. Starting with the Menage A Trois which essentially means three layered, it was a total party in the mouth. Coffee liqueur, Hazelnut and the Triple Sec, all of them could be distinctly tasted as well as together. It was a totally mind blowing one.
The Cinnamon Sambuca was loaded with the flavor of cinnamon and it balanced the Sambuca perfectly. We even got our hands on Sake shots. Sake is basically a Chinese wine made out of rice and we tried the Mango Sake as well as the Litchi Sake. The flavor of Mango and Litchi was quite evident and the wine gave it a beautiful base.
Next one was the Miami Vice. This one was made out of frozen liquor. It had a strong flavor of strawberries and cherries. This one is served as a drink as well as a shot.
The Stir-fry Broccoli and Water Chestnut is something that we had never tried before. Broccoli was stir fried and loaded with a creamy and cheesy texture. The water chestnut too wasn't far behind here and the crunch gave a complete taste to the dish. It was the best thing to happen to Broccoli.
Next was the Garlic, Cheese and Bell Pepper Flatbread. The bread was just the right amount of thick and it was loaded with cheese and bell peppers. The garlic could be distinctly tasted and the spice was definitely doing its work. We loved this one.
Next, we tried the Zhunka Bhakar Kendra. Now, this one was the traditional Maharashtra Curry served alongside Bajra roti, steamed rice and crushed onions. It had a very homely and traditional flavor. It was not something you would expect in a bar but they managed to get the basics almost right. It was wholesome as well as delicious.
We even tried the Cottage Cheese, Spinach Pot Rice. This one was loaded with veggies and Schezwan Paneer with a base of wok tossed Spinach rice. The Paneer was spiced well and it had a soothing and warm taste. It was a meal in itself.
Our meal ended with the Caramel Cheesecake. The Caramel Cheesecake was hands down one of the best cheesecakes that we have ever had. It comprised of the Honeycomb crust topped with a soft bed of the cheese cake filling and it was topped with salted caramel sauce. The balance of ingredients was perfect and the crunch of the base was perfectly complemented by the caramel sauce. We absolutely were drooling over this one.
Lastly, we had the Nariyal Paani Pannacotta. Now, this one was unlike anything that we had tried before. It was a too layered Pannacotta with one layer made of coconut water flavor and the other one had the flavor of Coconut milk and the kernel. It was extremely refreshing and a totally mind blowing dessert. We have never tasted anything like this before and we absolutely loved every bit of it.
It is hands down one the best places in town and they have a totally refreshing vibe as well as amazing drinks and food to gorge on. It is a must visit, no matter what the occasion, this one surely will stand up to be true...

Read moreWas waiting to crash into this place since the day it launched. All those hype of a super trippy ambience and amazing props like cute robots were exciting me already. But the most intriguing fact was the menu with 200 types of shots and with legacy of Kalra's.
Well Zoravar Kalra picked the perfect location for a party house like YoUnion that is in the heart of Kamala Mills in lower parel. Competing with places like LOTD, London Taxi and many more YoUnion clearly stands out for the youth of Mumbai.
Coming to the arrangements that is one USP of this place. Some crazy lights, private space, props like thanos hand and cute robots. What else can you expect? The next dope stuff is the way they serve their cocktails 😍.
Since the time we entered we were greeted well. Being served by Anup was an absolute pleasure who always arranged all the props for us and even in the busy hours he managed our dishes in time.
Coming to the amazing dishes that we ordered.
Mango Margarita: A tequila based drink served in super fancy cactus glass. Mango puree was so thick I was not able to sip initially but then the taste was going perfect. But still tequila could have been more in quantity.
Smoking Skull Manhattan (Must try): A super strong and classic drink based out of bourbon whiskey. Again served in skull head glass with a skeleton hand. The best part was burnt cinnamon stick.
Banany Boat 6 Shots(Must try): This was the actual show stopper. Though I actually went tipsy after these 6 of them the few names i remember are Cardamom Bourbon( the best of all), Orange Vodka, Banana Daiquiri, Reboot. You can also ask your robot to serve you at 999 or an ambulance.
Chana Koliwada With Curry Leaves (Must try): An in-house recommendation which is a perfect bar nibble. It is served in a fancy manner in a bowl full of wheat. The quantity is okish.
Andhra Chilli Chicken(Must try): Another amazing appetizer with curry leaves. The spice from andhra was perfectly blended which would beat and normal chicken chilly. Apart from the taste the curry leaves palyed a very important role in aroma of this dish.
Tandoori Chicken Momo: Though I was depending alot on this dish. But due to some reason it didn't meet my expectations. The texture was a bit hard and thick. It was the filling which still made the dish worth it.
Veg Momo in Hunan Sauce (Must try): These momos were actually perfect. The soft texture and delicious filling tasted perfect with sauces served.
Meatball Maggie: Fusion with Maggie is actually trending these days and a perfect one when you are boozing. Maggie tossed in spicy tomato sauce and topped with chicken meat malls made it delicious.
Caramel Cheesecake (Must try): Cheesecakes are love but caramel is something I am not fan of. But say what they even changed that for me today. Cheesecake topped with salty caramel and honey was just a classic dessert with a perfect twist.
Nariyal Paani Panna Cotta(Must try): At first glance I was like why are they serving nariyal paani. Then I dipped my spoon into it and the taste was just out of the world. Layer of malai and coconut water tasted so well made this panna cotta the best I ever had.
YoUnion is heck of experience can't wait to visit this place again...
