Nando's has always been our Family Favorite place, especially their Connaught Place outlet. Last Saturday, I have been on shopping mode with my son and stopped at Nando's to have luncheon. As usual our experience has been Consistently Great.
Famous for it's Portuguese Food, Good vibes and hospitality, this outlet has remained our favorite. this place always remains packed, especially weekends, so nominal waiting time can be there in peak hours. We were greeted by Anshika Singh, who was real warm, and courteous to suggest their Specials and customization available. Famous for their Peri-Peri Basht and heat levels, this place offers you tongue tantalizing menu that's hot and sizzling. We wanted to try something different this time, so this is what we ordered:
Nandinos Kid Veg Burger meal for my son with Garlic bread, wedges and ice tea. This is a value for meal deal and kids loved it. Priced under 300/- this platter had 1 burger, 2 sides and 1 drink or dessert. Loved the quality of the Burger and portion of the sides was real nice. Ice tea was refreshing and brewed fresh.
I started with A refreshing Designer drink, Citrus Bliss that had mint syrup, grapefruit juice, and Sprite with mint leaves. This was a beautiful and refreshing drink. Not too sweet, yet lovely taste. A MUST TRY!
To go along, Anshika suggested us to try Something Exotic. As the name suggested, it was truly Exotic. It had paneer and watermelon grilled in choice of Hot Peri Peri Sauce as per your preference served on the skewers and with some French fries. It also had a side option and I chose corn on the cob, which was steamed and grilled and super juicy and yum. I also ordered a Mediterranean Salad, which had mixed greens, spicy olives, mixed peppers, onion, cucumber, tomato and feta cheese served with select own dressings. This was super juicy and delicious and that Bast of hot Peri Peri sauce made over grilled cottage cheese and watermelon cubes. This was so appetizing and light. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We also ordered, Chicken Skewers, Pita and Fresh Salsa. These were Tender chicken strips and pineapple skewers that were mouth melt-in and had that smoky Flavor of peri peri. I opted for Hot Peri Peri flavor and it was so smokey and nice. Served with toasted pita, yogurt dip and fresh salsa that was so refreshing and freshly done.
We couldn't leave without having their newly launched Decadent Chocolate Cake slice. I haven't had more Sinful and luscious dessert before. It was wow and so chocolaty.
We had a great time and this is the reason we keep coming back here to enjoy good food and good mood....
Read moreNandos is an international dining chain which specialises in Portuguese-afro style chicken with it's signature Peri Peri chillies. The cooking techniques of it's signature grilled chicken involves marination which is done 24hrs prior and flame grilling. The c.p outlet is located near janpath lane just facing the Central Park. The interiors are simple and classy. You will find bunch of people enjoying the music and having their chicken. Most of the clientele are loyal patrons and I can observe that by the way they customise their order as per their palate. The sitting is a mix of old school and modern.I love the mix of casual and formal approach. The staff is prompt and ready to assist with smiling faces. Here's a preview of what we ordered: 1.Half chicken with regular side:The classic and anytime favourite.Big juicy 4 pieces with my choice of mild rub of marinade and colslaw as a side. Grilled to perfection, these are golden delight.Medium rare and juicy, each bite was juicy. 2.Espetada carnival with regular side:The best thing about this dish is that it's made with thigh pieces which are supposed to be most tender.Stacked and encased between peppers and stuffed with feta, this preparation is a delight to watch. A unique combination of hot and cold, this came along with potato wedges, rubbed in with peri peri which was an absolute delight to taste buds. 3.Creamy cheesecake:This was simple, crumbled biscuits and tender cream cheese.Served at room temperature, done the way it is supposed to be. 4.Ice tea and Rosa freska:The drinks we had with dinner were ice tea and Rosa freska.Ice tea was average while Rosa freska was interesting mix of pomegranate syrup, mint and hint of lemon. The chicken and marinade is addictive.I always try to taste and have a spice up everytime. The five kind of sauces which are their signature ones are lip smacking. The bird eye chilli used in the hottest one leaves the tongue tingling. The menu has lot of healthier options if compared to other fast food chains.Various offers like their ongoing loyalty card scheme can get you...
Read moreNice place to eat for the chicken lovers. They have many outlets in Delhi,i have went to the one situated in Block-F of Connaught Place.
I have tried 1 full chicken with some sides. They give a whole chicken cut into 4 pieces(2 pieces of breast with wing+2 pieces of leg with thigh) that's roasted with some herbs and spices.U can choose whether u want it to be plain or mildly spicy, or hot or extra hot.
Along with these chicken you are given a choice of sides. Among the sides i have tried: 1)the peri peri chips, which is personally my favourite among all the sides, they are just like french fries but slightly fatter n with spices on it. 2)peri peri wedges, are wedges of potato fried with spices 3) Portugese salad is a mixture of cucumber, capsicum, cherry tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce, olive, etc 4)The rice they , sorry i am forgetting the name is mildly spiced. 5) Grilled veggies , personally didn't like it 6)Corn grilled,is ok 7)Garlic bread,is just like the two halves of a burger bread that's toasted. Rest there are many sides which i haven't tried.
These are generally served with periperi sauce with a label on the bottle indicating how hot that sauce is. You can choose the milder one or the hotter ones.
I have also tried the Espetada which are nicely grilled chicken pieces(6 pieces were there) in skewers with spices along with some onions and capsicum. It's served on a frame that hangs the skewers.
I have also tried the chicken pulled burger but i felt it's very plain to taste.
If you want soft drinks, you can take a pitcher if you go in a group,it will be enough to fill up 5-6 glasses. You can try out their Designer drinks if you want to,i haven't tried that.
Overall i like that place.
