A themed restaurant in Phoenix Mall with a nice ambiance giving you a feeling of dining under the shades of the trees amidst the dense forest. As you walk in, the decor is worth a mention. Walk in through the cave structure over the bridge with water springs on either side and unearth this rainforest within. The sea green lighting on the floor is epic. With dim lighting and lanterns placed at every place - this place provides the vibe of rainforest totally. π The trees, its trunk, branches and the beautiful autumn leaves felt surreal - striking!Wow...π
The center of attraction is the below, which was once upon a time their bar which is now adorned now with various juice and fizzy drink bottles in their shelves. This center piece looks attractive and the lighting adds to the charm.
The live matches screening is a plus side. π
The place can accommodate about 50 or more guests -with seating befitting large groups and small groups. They have sofa seating and the regular wooden table chair setup.
Their menu is vast - offering food from Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine. You have a plethora of options for yourself.
The TOM YUM CHICKEN SOUP - filled with healthy bites. I must have add soup after like ages, and it couldn't have felt better. The chicken stock imparting slight Thai flavors with lots of exotic veggie ranging from mushrooms, broccoli, cucumber, chicken chunks, ginger slices, carrots, spinach. With the right amount of spiciness, it really was an excellent start. Loved it totally!! The TANDOORI GARLIC PRAWNS were tandoor-ed - well marinated in garlic and spices clad beauties - an absolute delight to gorge on. I swear I could have had the entire platter to myself!π The MURG PAPRIKA KEBAB - succulent chicken pieces impeccably marinated in a blend of Indian spices, yogurt with a perfect addition of herbs and chilly flakes. The smoky flavors enhanced the taste all the more. Mindblowing! The MASALA PAPAD - crunchy, well-fried papads with garnishings of sev, chopped onions, and tomatoes. The NONVEG PLATTER was an assortment of mostly tandoor-ed dishes ranging in chicken, prawns, fish. We asked them not to serve mutton in the platter - they replaced the mutton dish with another chicken dish. All the dishes were at par - drool-worthy - TANGDI KEBAB, BASA FISH, CHICKEN ACHARI TIKKA, RESHMI KEBAB, PRAWNS! Spices, marinations were done just right with the quantity being an added benefit. Every piece was delectable. π The PANEER TIKKA - soft cottage cheese in a spicy marinade - flavorsome! The starters created a stellar impression, but the mains equally marred the experience. π The BUTTER GARLIC NAANS could possibly be the only dish in the mains which was perfect! The MAUSAM KI TARKARI although it was supposed to be a seasonal vegetable in a spicy gravy of onions and tomato, all I could eat in every bite was french beans. Nah!! π I did not find my folks appreciating the dishes ordered for the non-vegetarian main course. π Why?! The FIVE BERRIES a concoction of five kinds of berry ranging from the blackberry, wild berry, blueberry, strawberry, and cranberry - a tad bit more sweet for a mocktail. During my earlier visit about 2 years back, I have had the NASHILA ZHINGA - taste bud tantalizing. Served on a sizzling plate and then poured with some vodka once on the table created the perfect sizzle. This was my first at tasting prawns in tandoor-ed style and I couldn't be more satiated. π RAWAS TIKKA was a fish delicacy - well attempted. SIZZLING BROWNIE needs no introduction. Fantabulous-ly sizzling! BANANA SPLIT - simple - scoops of ice cream between two slices of banana garnished with chocolate sauce.
Earlier they used to have loads of ongoing offers during weekdays, but sadly during this visit - there was none.
The place also didn't as crowded as I have seen it before to be - very mildly occupied.
Appreciable, that the restaurant follows rules and puts up the information about the 10% service charge. π But the service needs a slight improvement when dealing with a big group as ours was....
Β Β Β Read moreWe visited the restaurant on October 7, 2024, in the evening and found the experience to be quite disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no staff at the reception. The ambiance initially seemed acceptable, but this impression was quickly marred by the sight of torn and poorly maintained furniture. We sat at a table with a torn sofa, covered by an equally tattered cloth, leaving a poor first impression. We proceeded to order food, despite the initial misgivings. There were no peanuts or potato wedges available, so we opted for cheese kebabs. We were informed that the kebabs were mashed vegetables with cheese, but they turned out to be just potatoes and cheese, with a taste that was merely average, earning a rating of 3/5. The waiter initially served only ketchup with the kebabs and brought mint chutney upon request, which was super chilled and seemed to have been taken straight from the freezer, suggesting it was not fresh. Our second order was crispy corn, which also turned out to be disappointing and not worth the high price. Given the underwhelming quality of the food and the high prices, we decided to skip the main course and eat elsewhere. Overall, the visit was a letdown, marked by poor service, unmaintained facilities, and mediocre food, making for a regrettable...

This place is true to its name, as one moves inside it one can feel the rainforest, with artificial trees and leaves all over the place and firetourches lit at strategic locations. And in this IPL season they also screen live matches. Although the place is bit under lit it surely overcomes that with some great food. The Waiter suggested sone yummy dishes. We started with Oriental Soup which was the only disappointing thing. Murg Alishan Kabab was crisp and soft and was well prepared. 3 Cheese Fondue was a dish I tried from the first time, it had molten Fondue Cheese which was served over an bowl which was heated by an candle, and served with garlic bread which one has to dip in the cheese and eat, just yummy. Cheesy Crab cake JalapeΓ±o with Garlic Bread was served as an crab cake which one has to spread over a garlic bread and eat, another mouthwatering dish. Pan Fried Noodles were also good but a bit spicy. Tagliatelle Bolonese Sausage was the spaghetti served with minced Lamb meet which also tasted good. Seafood Pallo was khichdi mixed with seafood especially crab meet, and another awesome combo. All together this place serves some quality food but as it's on quite an expensive side so check the menu before...
