It is an Asian fusion restaurant. I love the food in this restaurant. Pricey, yes, but the food is delicious. Food & cocktail made us spent min. 350K - 400K per person. Seafood Paella - Maybe because this dish is supposed to be fusion dish, so they added chili peppers into the dish & it does not have socarrat. Paella is not supposed to be spicy hot, and it must have socarrat. However, in my opinion, I love this Paella. The chili pepper indeed added a kick & made this dish really yummy without overpowering the Paella. Thank God. The seafood flavor in it is bold enough. I am actually glad that it doesn't have socarrat because I am not fond of crusted-rice that reminds me of Kerak Telor. The calamari were a little bit chewy for my taste, prawns were to my liking, the crayfish was not dry and tasted good.
Fish Curry - It is served beautifully with flower & some pratas. They said the fish is halibut. The fish tastes good and the curry has bold taste. Maybe not to most Indonesians palette, but I like its boldness. It has kick of chili in it without being overly spicy. So the kick was good for the bold curry. It was a bit sweeter than most Indian curries I have had, but I still like it. Too bad the bread was too thin. In my opinion, a strong curry like that would be more enjoyable with a thicker bread.
Chocolate Souffle - Since it is souffle, you have to eat it immediately once it served before it collapse. The souffle served with ice cream and crumbles. In the beginning, we only tasted the souffle. The top of the souffle tasted like Milo powder. When we dug in, we felt like something was missing. The ice cream not too sweet, but we didn't get it. Then we tried to eat the souffle with the ice cream and the crumbles. Then, the entire thing made sense. Together, they made this dessert to be something that we want to keep digging without being overly sweet. I like this dessert because even though we already had heavy meal, but this chocolate dessert was light. I was hoping to order chocolate lava cake. But after tasted this souffle, I am glad that we chose this souffle. It is decadent.
Kecombrang Tea - I like flavored and fragrant tea like this. So I am happy to be served with this tea.
Cocktails - I forgot the name of those cocktails. They were Deconstructed Chocolate, Deconstructed Pineapple, and Poblano Margarita (or something like that). We both enjoyed the drinks. As complimentary, the bartender served us tequilla shots since he knew I preferred tequilla. I love their tequilla with Mandarin orange. Now that is the kind of liquor I like to gulp down. Thank you!
The service was really great. The bartender came to our table to inquire our likings. He made good rapport with us. Thank you for the hospitality! The waiter paid attention to all guests. The waiter who served us was very patient when we questioned him a lot about the menu. Thank you so much. Apology that we forgot to tip you.
The place seems to give romantic vibe if you reserve the seating on 1st floor. The 2nd floor seems better for friends and families.
If I may suggest, please keep the chocolate lava cake on the menu because if you change it into pandan, it doesn't sound as appetizing as chocolate lava cake for new customers. Or maybe I should try your pandan lava cake & I might be surprised.) And if you have a classic Tiramisu, it would be great dessert to end a date (again for new customers). If you want to make a play on the Tiramisu, you can change the color of the ladyfingers.
My overall experience here was great. Good service, good vibes, but more importantly, great food! The food impressed me, so I might want to come again to...
Read moreOk, first the place is nice for taking picture only. Now Let's talk about the food. Kid's menu fish n chip is a joke. Wth is that ?? Kid's menu cowly mowly which is supposed to be grilled beef but it comes cold and soggy.
I asked for extra kid's plate but what they gave me was a greasy plate. Did they even wash the plate ?? Guess we never know.

Kangkung Belacan , when you order belacan, u expect a spicy food , but this kangkung belacan taste sweet.
After that we had rubery cuttlefish and it was served cold .
Well actually i cant even remember i was served any warm meals. Most of the food was cold. The only thing thats nice is the rice. ONLY the RICE.
Service??? The waiters are too busy looking at your plate, if you stop eating to chat even when there still food LEFT on your plate, they will come and ask you if they can take it or not. I not yet finish with my drink when they touched my glass asking if they can take it or not. You can ask but you cant touch!!! GEZZ !!! Owner please pay attention to your waiters!!
LAST!!!!! DONT ASK FOR THE BILL IF YOU RE NOT DONE WITH YOUR FOOD !!!!!! Right after you finished your payment. They will hunt your plate even if you not done with your food LOL.
Overall my first experience here ended in a BIG dissapointment.
I was hoping like a fancy tasty meal but end up with wasting time, the price they charge for the food is quite high. Ok it's a first and the...
Read moreNice semi outdoor chic restaurant. Moderate outdoor seating available with some indoor tables. No need to book a seat if its only for a few people but groups of 10+ need to book.
Ordered the Salt and Pepper Tofu which was deep-fried making it nice and crispy. Although small tofu sized cubes, the portion was adequate. Be advised that the GIOI special spices are moderately spicy.
The D.I.Y Pork Taco (also available with Octopus instead of Pork) had a nice presentation. Set out with Aioli sauce and a Wasabi variant green sauce (not as spicy as the GIOI special spices), lettuce. This looked good and would have been better if the shredded pork didn't have bits of bones in them making it difficult to eat. Although the bones could be chewed and eaten, it just wasn't pleasant.
Also ordering the Pork Bahn, was neatly presented as 4 mini rolls. The menu stated that it uses pork skirt but it tasted very similar to the D.I.Y. shredded pork and again it also had bits of bones in them.
Lastly the Garlic Noodle Baby Lobster. The noodles were nice and thick (hokkien style) and you could taste the garlic. No comment on the lobster as I didn't try it.
Other things to note, whilst the outdoor seating is nice with all the shades and the sea breeze kept the temperature cool, the setting is only ruined by the number of flies buzzing around. We had the candle lit many times but it didn't deter the annoying insects and the wind would oft blow the light out.
Overall, great place to dine, prices are moderate, staff were polite and professional. Just the bits of bone and flies were...
