I walked down the steps to the beach looking for bingin bagus but that's only open at tea time, however I saw Lucky fish restaurant next door and it's right on the beach with 3 storeys to sit on. I went down to the beach barbecue and chose my snapper from the cool boxes. It's sold by weight and then they prepare it and grill it for you and it comes served to your table with side order of garlic vegetables and rice. At first I sat on the 2nd floor overlooking the sea whilst I ate my food. I had a couple of beers and also the brownie for desert. As the restaurant was so relaxed with a nice chilled vibe after I'd eaten I went up to the top floor and laid in the hammock. Absolute bliss and I spent the whole day here. I tried the local drink of turmeric & honey which personally I was not keen on but I suppose most things that are good for you are not always nice to taste lol. I walked back up the stairs and I have quite bad asthma and was worried about it but it's not as bad as people say. I just took my time. One thing I would warn people of is that you cannot get a gocek or a grab pick up here (you can get drop off) for pick up taxi you have to use the local taxi company which is 5 times more expensive so make sure you have enough cash! I was here early March 2020 as a solo traveller

The place has a nice view of the sunset (same view as anywhere on the west coast of Bali, so nothing super special), it has decent food and live music. The beach isn’t great and you can’t really enjoy the water, since it’s in the middle of the rocky area of that beach. They fill most of the beach area in front of the restaurant with tables to eat, which is nice if you are eating at the beach, but to enjoy the beach you’ll have to honor he sides and pay for an umbrella (100k). Read reviews of the actual beach to have more details. We had the whole snapper at the beach, it comes with rices and a bit of steamed greens. The two sauces they bring are good, one is a little spicy (diced onion mix) and the other not really (red tomato based). We enjoyed it, but it wasn’t worth the hassle of getting there, specially with kids. It requires taking somewhat steep stairs down (4-6 story equivalent) after a 2-3 block walk from where you were dropped off or parked your car. The return will be a work out, so you you’re trying to get your legs work out in that day it’s perfect. Bring small kids here a few times and you will return home super fit from carrying them up all the stairs 😜. All in all, we enjoyed it, but would have skipped it if we had known the details.

Very delicious food, and accommodating staff. Ordered a fruit bowl with just watermelon as my wife wasn’t feeling great and they were very kind about it. I had a traditional Nasi Goreng. The presentation and flavour was spot on. You typically don’t expect such good quality from a beach front restaurant as they don’t have to try as hard, but this place definitely does. In addition to this, towards the middle of the meal, my wife continued feeling quite Ill from the heat, and collapsed. The owner of the place (or so we think) luckily walked by and offered we go lay in their massage rooms just a few steps up. One of the massage therapist guided us to a cold room with a bed, and helped my wife with a wonderful massage and some medicinal oils. Meanwhile the staff had taken our food, which was barely touched at that point to the kitchen, while we were away. They then packed it for us to take, which we did. Luckily the AC and help from the staff made my wife feel better, and we were able to make it up the steps to our hotel. We finished the food then, and as I said, it was delicious.

We came around 7.30pm. There are 200 steps to this place. The initial restaurant that we wanted to dine had most of the items finished, thus we went here instead. The lady staff at the cashier where you select the seafood had terrible bad attitude. She treated us Asian differently from Caucasian, her bias is very obvious. Her attitude stink so bad and she is so arrogant, before us were a Caucasian guy and she kept laughing and smiling with him, whereas she wasn’t interested in attending to us. Literally just gave us such an ugly behavior. Doesn’t even smile and can’t be bothered to reply us when we asked her about the seafood. However, the male server staff were friendlier. Food wise would be a 2 out of 10. It is practically tasteless. Just take some prawns and fish and throw it in the grill. Food is terrible. Unless you are drunk, then you might enjoy the tasteless food 😆. We paid about IDR 300k for 1 fish and 6 pieces of prawns. Atmosphere: it is dark by 7.30pm, so you can’t see any view. Should have gone to jimbaran instead.

Our brunch experience at Lucky Fish Lounge was nothing short of delightful. As we savored an array of well-prepared dim sum, the real charm of the place revealed itself through its exceptional location. Overlooking Bingin Beach, the lounge offered us a stunning view that perfectly complemented our meal. The dim sum itself was a highlight – each bite was a testament to the culinary skills of the chefs. The flavors were authentic and each dish was prepared with care, making it a memorable part of our dining experience. The variety of options catered well to our tastes and left us thoroughly impressed. What made our brunch truly special was the combination of great food and the serene, picturesque setting. The view of Bingin Beach added an element of tranquility and beauty to our meal, enhancing the overall ambiance. Lucky Fish Lounge is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy good food with a great view. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely brunch where the beauty of Bali can be appreciated in every aspect.

Exceptional warm vibes, live music, great food, perfect location My favorite place in Bingin beach. The view of the ocean was amazing. I loved to sit on the top floor and watch the sunset with a glass of wine and healthy food. It`s the only place I know offering dim sum on the beach! I also loved to spend my evenings laying in hammock and listening to live music. So chill to listen to saxophone and quitar, while watching the ocean and sunset. Staff was heartfelt and creative making the place full of interesting details. When the live music was on, they even involved guests that wanted to play quitar or sing. This place and all the friends and connections I have made there stays highlighted in my Bali memories. Such a friendly atmosphere. It made my holiday. Prices are in the bukit standard, even if they have to carry everything down to many stairs. Great value, can`t wait to go back one day!
