Hero Coffee Indonesia — Restaurant in Semarang

Hero Cafe is one of my favorite cafes to gather with friends. Likewise with my friends. Many things make us really enjoyed this cafe so much compared to other cafes. Hero Cafe is located at Jalan Kepodang number 33, Central Semarang. Access to get here can be through Jalan Letjen Suprapto, which is the right road through the old city. Go left to Jalan Suari right in front of the Blenduk Church. From the road here, just turn right at the first intersection. Hero Cafe is located opposite the Bank Mandiri Building. Vehicles can usually be parked along Jalan Kepodang. Sometimes the parking slots at Kepodang are full because currently along Jalan Kepodang are given roadblocks by the city government. Then look for the closest parking. For two-wheeled vehicles, it is easier to find parking spaces. Because along the roadside of Bank Mandiri and in front of the cafe can be used for parking. One reason we like this cafe is the location of the cafe in the old city complex. One of the excellent tourist spots in Semarang City. This cafe occupies one of the colonial heritage buildings with a thick European architectural style. This cafe nuance is very supportive to be used as a photo spot. With vintage, and modern decor that fuses very well with the main building. The atmosphere is amazingly warm, calm and pleasant. The available menu varies with prices that are not too high. The menus that I have tasted, it feels pretty good with good portions. The coffee served is good and tasty with a large selection of coffee variants. What I like is Panacota Chocolate which is pretty good. Waiters are very friendly and relatively fast in service. They also display coffee from various regions in Indonesia that can be purchased. Payments accept cash, debit, credit cards. Important requirements for managers, add current payment options with digital wallet (GOPAY, OVO, CASHBACK) to invite more customers. I enjoy good coffee. Usually the coffee and food from hipster/instagrammable cafe are disappointing... However this place by far has exceeded my expectations.

I first chanced upon this place while we were driving around, looking for a breakfast place. At first glance, we thought it would be expensive for a group of 5.

The décor was well thought and implemented. They have a huge roaster at the back.

The service by the friendly staffs were impeccable.

I am a big fan of drip coffee and rich aromatic beans. I was mentally jumping with joy seeing the variety of styles offered and rich smell of coffee wafting through the place.

Having such a great experience I revisited the place before heading back to Singapore, this time with my Family.

Recommendations since I have tried them: Mendoan Hero fried rice Kebab Honey pulled beef bowl(add the recommended topping of onion and chili) Affogato Halu (kalita/V60) Cappuccino

Will definitely drop by again when I am in Semarang in the future:)

My only regret was that I bought only Wine and Halu back, should have gotten the other...
